The designer Peter Behrens is responsible for this outstandingly detailed architectonic masterpiece. Hoechst AG started the constructing in 1921 with the idea to use it as an administration building. Nowadays Behrens is also the official namesake of the building. Standing in the entrance hall and looking up, one can hardly manage to detract attention from the vertiginous aura of this expressionistic brick building. Countless little things reveal the painter, designer, and typographer in Behrens. For example, geometric pictures by the Dutch artist group De Stijil are processed in the stained-glass windows.

This architectural project endeavors to meticulously preserve the essence of the traditional Iranian home, a sanctuary where architectural elements of the past seamlessly coalesce with contemporary design. A captivating visual harmony is achieved through the ingenious use of concrete tinted in the hues of Iranian bricks, creating a modern aesthetic while paying homage to the timeless charm of Iranian architecture.
With Laminis, the aim of the designers was to create a system that would design space with light. The single tiles, combined together like a precious mosaic, creating multi-sided luminous structures that discretely enrich their architectural environments. Great attention was placed on the production of the cast glass panels- each piece is made entirely by hand by master glass-makers, melted glass is molded and formed to create the panels. Custom designed panels including patterns, graphics, and colors can be created. The collection comprises two applications: a pendant – in two sizes – and a modular system. Laminis is offered with halogen or LED light sources. The modular strips are available in either polished or gilded aluminum. The glass panels, in different sizes, patterns, and colors, are supported by stainless steel electrified wires. Design assistance is available.
