A pretty little cardigan can instantly elevate any outfit! This one features two beautiful lace patterns and a slightly cropped length for a fresh update to your wardrobe. It's also a top-down cardigan, so it's seamless! Knitting begins with ribbing at the neckline. Then, the main lace panels are started. As you work increases towards the bust line, triangular segments are worked in Revese Stockinette stitch, with a simple eyelet lace design running down the center of each triangle. At the underarm, the cardigan transitions to Stockinette stitch down to the ribbed hem. Sleeves are worked in the round and slightly gathered at the ribbed cuffs. Button bands are picked up and knit to finish. Both lace patterns are charted and written.
The perfect wrap for all the tiny dancers in your life! This elegant and practical wrap is just right for ballet classes. It also looks so sweet paired with a spring or summer dress. And hello flower girls - a short sleeved version in the bride’s wedding colours would be lovely. Intermediate knitters will love the hatch stitch edging detail and the vintage-style yarn over increases. Entirely seamless and knit in one piece from the top down, this will fly off the needles. The wrap is easily adjustable by fastening the ties, so sizing is a breeze. Variations How about working one with buttons instead of a tie? Longer or shorter sleeves? The hatch stitch edging looks great in variegated yarns! Omit the eyelet increases if you prefer a less lacy vibe. Replace the knitted ties with satin ribbons for a more dressy look. A celebration of Black History is not complete without a look backward and a view forward. I designed this hat with that in mind. Africans brought to North American shores were once free people. The physical chains that bound them became an indelible part of their new life in a strange land for generations. The legacy of enslaved people is a binding one. Families were bound, then broken, and over time this cycle was repeated, forged in pain. But still…we rise. The cable pattern in this hat was designed to remind us that we began as free people, lived chained for generations, but, thanks to the undying courage of many, one day we will be truly free again. A hat is a great reminder of how to keep a steady mind while we move forward. As our thoughts go, so do we. Thank you for being part of this journey!

Armhole bands are worked last. Split hem is another elegant detail to the slipover. The range of ease across the sizes is 5-9.5 cm/2.5-3.75". This shawl was designed by Ladawan. All our knitting group wanted to have the pattern, so I figured out what she did and wrote it out. It is a crescent shaped shawl with eyelet increase in the body and a ruffle on the end. It is a lovely flouncy little shawl. On the Ty-Dy one, I had to only do 9 rows on the ruffle. I, also, did M1 increase in place of all the YO’s to give it more of a solid look. I really like this version. I wish I had not run out of yarn on the ruffle. I had to bind off on a purl row. I bound off in knit to give it a textured edge on the right side. I was not sure how to block out the ruffled edge, but love the way the points make the yarn color scallop.
