Funky naturally colored art yarn - tailspun first shear Teeswater x Jacob locks. This is a medley of locks from various fleeces. Some are more chocolate-brown with cream colored tips, some are more greyish-brown with light brown colored tips. Last year, I purchased these locks from a shepherd in England. Many of them actually... felted... on the sheep and I had to put some work into fluffing up the cut ends to use these for tailspinning but the result is well worth it! This yarn turned out so funky and I love these locks - those cream colored tips are so yummy! :) After winding this yarn into a ball it looked like the bottom end of an uprooted tree with lots of gnarly roots - hence the name "Uprooted". I actually have a purpose for this yarn! My vision is to top off my light brown half-boots with short legwarmers(?). The half-boots are colored like the light brown in the tips of these locks.
