I almost didn't get this set with my first order from the new catalog but at the last minute, just had to have it and I'm so happy I did! After assembling my seven new sets, I was a little brain dead so went to the gallery and found this lovely, simple card by Aleska901 and CASEd it: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/1053751?cat=14638 It is 5� x 4�. I just trimmed �� off both sides of the mustard layer, then scalloped the edge of the white piece and trimmed the other sides to make it 5� x 3 ��. (Hope that makes sense. For my first attempt, I trimmed the white piece, THEN scalloped it and it ended up a little short � a slight difference, but I liked this version better.) I inked the stamp with More Mustard using the classic ink pad. Then I took my chocolate chip marker and colored the bases of some of the blossoms. Then I used my old olive marker on the stems. I just stamped this onto Whisper White CS and lightly sponged all the way around the card with Old Olive then with Chocolate Chip from the ink pads. The speckles are from the Itty Bitty Background stamp which I inked with Mellow Moss, then stamped off onto scratch paper first each time I stamped randomly over the card. I've not used this set in a long, long time. I firgured I should give it some love & ink. I colored w/ my markers, huffed & stamped. I 'sort of' thumped (I actually dabbed) on some brown for the centers. Added some ribbon. I like the clean look of this, so I'm adding CAS as well. Thanks for stopping by to take a peek.
I had found a similar card to this on Pinterest. I love the contrast from th pink to the stark black silhouettes. I masked off and sponged with light pink and then red for the sky. Thanks for viewing and commenting.
Für mein Nähzimmer gab es ein sehr wichtiges Kriterium. Es sollte endlich Platz für meine Gedanken, Ideen, Skizzen, Motivationssprüche und Ansichtskarten sein. Wie immer in solchen Fragen hat Pinterest mir dabei geholfen die perfekte Antwort zu finden: Eine riesengroße, rahmenlose Korkpinnwand sollte es werden. Weil Kork super zum Verarbeiten ist und dazu auch noch super fancy aussieht, zeige ich dir heute wie du dir auch so eine Korkwand in dein Büro, Wohnzimmer oder Vorraum zaubern kannst. Aber Achtung, diesmal wird auch in Wände gebohrt und eine Kartuschenpresse verwendet, du brauchst dafür also auch ein bisschen Werkzeug. Und natürlich auch passende Korkplatten* die ich aus einem Korkfachgeschäft hatte.…
