Quaint tiny villages explored and drawn by this urban sketcher. Talent has to be one of your main goals when you are an artist. There are other qualities that a very close second: having a style you are comfortable with and a good choice of subject matter. As you can see from the drawings in this post, Asmik Babaian possesses all three of those traits. Many buildings I would love to live in and I would jump at the opportunity to visit all of them. I would sit and enjoy the cafes and the restaurants, both indoor and the outdoor ones. Even though these ink drawings are in B&W, I can see my self in them. I would be happy to be a character in a black and white 1930's movie. : ) If travelling around the world is problematic, I will more than settle for travelling in time. Don't worry, I will travel back to meet you tomorrow with a brand-new week and post. Ps. I gave the images some titles. For more of Babaian's work here on DesignStack, press this LINK. Black and white drawings that explore different types of architecture, in different styles, from a variety of different angles. I really like Mark Poulier introduction to himself, so I will let his words carry you through the next portion: "I draw architecture. I mostly draw balancing a sketchbook on my lap during my morning tram ride through Melbourne, on site or in a café. I'm an Art Director and pen and ink sketcher living in Melbourne, Australia." As well as creating art, he teaches as well, which is a great way of passing on the lessons and tricks he has learnt, to a new generation of artists. These drawings present us with a beautiful way of showing off the special sites and buildings in the cities we live in, or the countries we travel to. Flying over Chicago.
