Impact Orange. The CL Valiant was built in Australia from Nov 1976-Nov 1978, a substantial facelift on the VK, the CL featured quad headlights. The base model Ranger name was dropped, the base model now called just Valiant. Models available were; Base Valiant, mid Regal and top Regal SE The CL was the last Charger, mainly 770s and a few XL highway patrol cars. The CL Utility was the last Valiant ute, and finally a Panel Van was introduced. The A53 Sports Pack was an option on both the Ute and the Van. To compete with Holden's Sandman and Ford's Sundowner Vans, another version of this Sports pack was the option A80 'Drifter' Pack, available on the Van, Ute and Charger, the Drifter featured paint black-outs, body decals and colour-coded sports wheels. Available in 4 colours; Alpine White, Impact Orange, Sundance Yellow and Harvest Gold Engines; 165hp 245 or 203hp 265 Hemi 6s and 230hp 318 V8.
