Good Housekeeping's Vegetables: Tempting, Satisfying and Flavor-Fiiled The Editors of Good Housekeeping Magazine Illustrated by Jerry Warshaw The Hearst Corporation, Consolidated Book Publishers, Chicago 1958 One of a series of pamphlets published by Good Housekeeping Magazine in the late 1950's. There are at least 17 books in the series. (I have been unable to find the exact number. If anyone knows, please message me! I'd be grateful.) The pamphlet is 68 pages and contains over 100 recipes that many of us baby-boomers grew up on. They were originally marketed at grocery store check-outs as an impulse buy. The cover price of $.39 cents made throwing one in with your grocery purchase an easy decision.

These are for sale only as a lot; I won’t split them up. There are 18 different titles. Most are 20 to 50 pages long and are about 8.5” by 6” in size. Some of the titles are “The Casserole Cookbook”, “ The Cookie Book”, “2000 useful facts about food”, “How to make the most of your freezer”, “Today’s Hostess” and much more. Good to very good condition with some yellowing, a few small tears here and there, all very readable. Some of these old recipes are quite hilarious, “Olive and Fish Salad in Green Pepper Cases” anybody? Or maybe Ham and Cider Jelly Loaf will suit you better. There are many delicious ones as well, don’t worry 😊 **Books are shipped media mail or first class and that can take longer so if you want priority let me know and I'll send you an invoice for the extra shipping. There's no media mail for my international buyers--sorry! **Merchandise shipped within two business days of receipt of payment. **Books, magazines and catalogs are not returnable. *Thanks for shopping!!
