The Denby Romany line resembles hand-crafted studio pottery, with a very rustic feel. It has a deep brown glaze that has been applied over a gold base, so a yellow pattern can be seen in patches through the glaze, each piece being slightly different. Size: 6.5" Diameter, plus handles This listing is for a 2-Pint Casserole Dish from the Denby Romany line, which is in superb vintage condition with no visible damage: no cracks, chips or crazing can be seen. Let this stunning piece find its way into your own kitchen or collection today!

Dimensions: 5-1/2" tall, 2" diameter base Condition: Great vintage shape +++++ If you have never heard of Denby, join much of America. Like myself it wasn't until I came across a Denby plate and was instantly enamored. It was one of those patterns that you see from across the way and instantly run to grab it. It was Echo Blue and since then I've been an enormous fan and the fact that it is still reasonably obtainable in the US makes Denby great to collect from. If you are a fan of Heath Ceramics or Dansk Mesa, then you'll love Denby. This simple but cool pattern is Kimberly. A simple yellow flower in the center of the plate. The pieces in this line are all classic Denby shapes, a mix of both simplicity and modernism - interesting shapes without the exaggerated impractical proportions that you see in some mid-century dinnerware. Kimberly comes on the cusp of the end of mid-century so it has a lot of 70s influence to it. I think it's an amazing combination, making it one of my favorite Denby patterns. These guys are the salt and pepper shakers from the line. Like all the other pieces of this set, they follow the same design motif of celedon, off-white glaze against a rough dark brown with the dark brown portions having a rough texture as if it were the clay unglazed. For salt and pepper shakers these stand a tall 5-1/2" and where some mid-century dinnerware sets have two sizes of S&P shakers, Kimberly only has the one... at least that I am aware of. But like several of the pieces, the height and simple design give it a noticeable presence on the table, These are in great vintage shape. In my photos you can see that one of the shakers has an unglazed bottom. I don't know if this is how they intended for you to tell them apart (which really isn't necessary given the difference in holes), if this is a mistake, or if these somehow are from different production runs. Regardless this is how I acquired them and they're the only ones I have. ***** For other Denby Kimberly items that I have for sale, please visit: https://etsy.me/3ZjSDpY For other Denby pieces that I have for sale, please visit: https://etsy.me/3tbnNl2
