1960 Bassett Bedroom Furniture Vintage Advertisement. This is an original magazine page from the February 2, 1960 issue of LOOK magazine. The other side is a Sanka Instant Coffee illustrated ad. The page is in good condition with minor water/moisture staining on the bottom edge. Either side makes very cool 1960s bedroom or kitchen wall art! Vintage ads are easy to frame and display, and they make great conversation pieces! They also make unique and thoughtful gifts for special occasions and holidays. (NOTE: If you are buying an item as a gift and check the “Mark As A Gift” box at check out, you will only receive a Gift Receipt for your recipient and not a regular itemized Customer Receipt. I’d be happy to provide both if preferred! Just add a note with your order.) Item ships via USPS Ground Advantage mail (formerly 1st Class) within 1-2 business days and USUALLY arrives within 3-5 days* of ship date. Shipping is a flat fee of $4.50 for the 1st ad, and only another $0.75 each for additional ads in the same cart/order. (*Expected delivery times are an estimate based on what I've observed when tracking mailed items, but is not a guarantee. And we all know deliveries take longer around the holidays!) *Please be aware that this is an ORIGINAL UNFRAMED AD PAGE (and ONLY the AD, NOT the product itself) from a vintage magazine and does show typical signs of age and use such as rough edges with minor tears, paper discoloration/oxidation (white now tinged beige), and a few small crinkles as happens with most paper media many decades old. I do occasionally trim the edge where the ad was removed from the magazine when I feel it's necessary. Once framed, the edges are hidden and the minor flaws are barely noticeable. But don't forget, it's these wrinkles of time that give these great vintage ads such character! I always try to show any of these "imperfections" in the pictures as best as I can so please look carefully at them so you are aware of any possible flaws. If there are any additional flaws I will always note them in the ads' description above. I only edit photos for clarity, size, and lighting, and never to try to hide anything. The page measures approximately 13"H X 10"W. Thank you for looking at my listing! If you like this item and/or are looking for more mid century memories, I also have many other vintage items available in addition to my Vintage Advertisements such as books, cookbooks, toys, dolls, games, ceramics, etc. in my shop at https://www.etsy.com/shop/AngiesMaineAdVintage

When it comes to lighting design, the vital role that technology plays can sometimes be forgotten. Luckily, a number of designers have made it their goal to be at the forefront of the industry and to incorporate updates that enhance both form and function. Beginning in the late-1960s and continuing to this day, Robert Sonneman has consistently explored ways of innovating and perfecting his designs, leading to a selection of iconic silhouettes that have been carefully tweaked to make them more efficient than ever.

From Progressive Architecture 1960
IKEA is probably your home's best friend. Its father, Feodor Ingvar Kamprad, founded the company in 1943 when he was only 17. Even the iconic yellow-blue logo is an acronym, composed of his initials paired with the first letter of Elmtaryd, the name of the farm where he grew up, and Aggunaryd, his Swedish hometown. To become a retail giant with over 43 billion dollars in revenue that it is today, IKEA focused on cost control, operational details, and continuous product development.
