You know them by their aliases. They’re the ones with the power to save the day even when all hope seems lost. You can’t go to your local comic book store without seeing their faces on everything from lunch boxes to T-shirts and coffee mugs. You can’t avoid hearing their names while watching movie trailers at the cinema. They’re the Avengers, Wonder Woman, Batman, and all the modern-day legends from Marvel and DC that inspired our child selves!
With the help of a Dream AI, I tried to imagine what the celebrities of the past would look like if they were fans of rock music.
Hi everyone! My husband Dimitri Sirenko is a painter and these Game of Thrones characters were created by him using acrylic paint on canvas. I hope you like them!
Contrary to the name, shower thoughts aren't exclusive to showers. From long walks to mowing the lawn, many everyday activities seem to have the right circumstances to allow the brain to have these little aha moments.
Both makeup and photography have the ability to transform sights that we’re used to into something surprisingly stunning. Now just imagine what happens when those skills are combined by a real-life couple. Photographer Chuck Gomez and his makeup artist wife Oli are a great example of that.
We've gathered a lengthy list of beautiful quotes for you that we hope will provide you with the inspiration you were looking for.
Creating unique art can be fulfilling for several reasons. For one, it allows an artist to express themselves in a way that is truly authentic and personal. The act of creating something that is special can be a form of self-expression and self-discovery.
Imagine the scene. You are going about your daily business when there's a buzz on your phone. “Ah, It's my sweetheart,” you notice, with a frisson of romantic excitement. “I wonder what she wants.” You reach for the phone, the possibilities whizzing through your mind. Could it be a seductive photo, along with the offer of a hot weekend away somewhere? Or maybe she wants to compliment you on that awesome sandwich you made her for lunch? Do we need milk?
My name is Lucie Kruta and five years ago I got the idea of capturing transformations of my growing children a little more creatively. I started to take pictures of my kids in the style of famous paintings. The first photograph was actually a coincidence.
"This really upset me. I tried to let it go, but after a few days I confronted my manager saying that if the new guy was coming in at a higher salary then I should get a bump in pay too."
At this point, we all are familiar with Elon Musk, from his many tweets to the iconic SpaceX mission where he launched a Tesla car into outer space. However, many are oblivious to the fact that the engineer's mother is just as much (if not more) of a badass as Elon himself. Maye Musk is a 70-year-old model and dietician, as well as the mother of Elon, Kimbal and Tosca Musk.
When we call one country or another our home, in reality, we live in a tight bubble where the things we eat, ways we communicate, and stuff we call normal is only natural as long as we don’t exit it. But it takes as little as a single vacation abroad and as much as changing countries, to see your views and customs starting to shift.
Pointless meetings are the scourge of our time.
"So, I wake up, and I have 22 notifications on the store Facebook page. Customers have been trying to come shop, but the store is closed. Employees are showing up to work, but they're locked out."

Robert De Jesus has made a name for himself by offering a service that works similar to the street artists who caricature people on the spot. Except that you don’t have to leave your house and this artist doesn’t draw caricatures, he just references the photos. So if your hand-drawn portrait is an exaggerated or humorous version of what you see in the mirror, you should probably turn to that mirror once more.

Hello! My name is Aniko! All of my life I knew that one day I am going to be a successful artist, but many life circumstances tried to push me off course and tried to make me do other things for a living. My parents always wanted me to have a well-paid job and as a teenager I listened to them, although it was hard for me to reject my dreams of just being a free spirit and make beautiful things for others. Over 6 years ago I graduated as an interior designer and architect's assistant and straight after that I moved to London, UK.
Buying second-hand is all the rage. It's sustainable, affordable and the best way to find unique pieces you can't get anywhere else. You never know what you're going to come across! And that sentiment seems to ring particularly true on Facebook Marketplace, where users are likely to encounter some very questionable listings.
It always starts with the eyes - the windows to the soul. Captivated by their liveliness and sparkling brilliance, I then move outwards, capturing each animal's unique essence through specific brushwork and elements within the body and the background. I use a mixture of techniques and styles, in order to best represent each animal's individual essence or emotional/energetic quality.
Insecurity can manifest itself in a very wide variety of ways, from humble-bragging to putting others down and more.
Some photos about last day of the dead in my city.
My name is Cally and I’m a children’s book illustrator based on the beautiful Northumberland coast. I’ve been working in children’s publishing for many years, it truly is a dream job. When I’m not illustrating books I enjoy walking on the beach with my dog (who regularly features in my work!), playing the ukulele at folk nights and I especially enjoy practicing yoga.
"One of the women (also white) commented that it was inappropriate for me as a white woman to take advantage of black products and services that should only be used by black people."
As an artist whose 'real job' is a software engineer, I first started experimenting with AI art when the NFT boom was starting back in March 2021. After much googling (and cursing), I managed to train a neural network.
We are used to seeing embroidery as a precious and thing for clothes. But embroidery can also be modern and fast and of great impact. My impatience led me to invent a technique that allows me to create a great big picture in a day. A luxurious piece, yes but I can use any material, even cheap that can be sewn by gluing plastic or leather, pieces of metal or paper. My passion is portraiture, although I have to say I'm not that good at drawing. But to embroider it instead comes naturally to me. This embroidery is perfect for creating bed heads or covering the armchairs. There are no delicate beads that can fall with time. By the way, for my decorated panels I use the water-repellent base, easily washable.
Harsh truths about people's lives are rarely easy to talk about, but these women need to be heard, their stories need to be out in the open for everyone to see. Twitter user Emrazz, aka the Feminist Next Door, sparked an important discussion online when she asked her followers to share how old they were when men started making them “feel uncomfortable or unsafe” in their own body.
The romantic notion of owning a white picket fence house and raising several rambunctious rosy-cheeked kids is something that intuitively appeals to me. However, far from everybody has the same dreams that I do — and to each their own.
Millions of babies born across the world during the 2020/2021 covid-19 pandemic missed out on meeting their extended families until lockdown restrictions could be lifted.
It’s safe to say that for many people baby Yoda is the highlight of the series.
Imagine a world where wearing a bikini is considered taboo, where you can’t legally marry someone of a different race, or having divorced parents is more than enough reason for other kids to bully you to no end. Sounds ridiculous, right? But believe it or not, there are certain things that we do today that were once considered wrong and are now (almost) completely normalized behaviors.
Most parents tell their kids not to play with their food, but for oil painter Alya Chaglar and her 3-year-old daughter, Stefani, playing with food is part of their daily fun.
We respect people’s privacy, so we tend to minimize the amount of eavesdropping and gossiping we do. However, sometimes we can’t help it—the things that we accidentally overhear are soooo good that we just can’t wait to share them with all of our friends and, well, everyone online. If you keep your ears open, you might hear the most hilarious and bizarre things echoing down the halls of your college or university. Higher education provides enough gossip-worthy tea and beans for spilling to keep us all entertained for days on end.
The ocean is the lifeblood of Earth, covering over 70 percent of the planet's surface, driving weather, regulating temperature, and ultimately supporting life. But more than 80% of the ocean remains unexplored.

Zebedee Management collaborates with the #RadicalBeautyProject on their first ever group shoot for #WDSD. All the models featured have #DownSyndrome, and look every inch the #Supermodels they are. When it comes to Down syndrome, most people are so prejudiced (for many reasons, and we aim at challenging these reasons in the process) that they can’t see the forest for the trees and keep these very capable individuals back, in the shadows preferably.
Jimmy Fallon, the legendary host of The Tonight Show, keeps us laughing even when we’re feeling blue. This time, Jimmy asked his adoring fans to share the most spectacular and hilarious wedding fails, seeing as wedding season’s roaring with full force. And we’ve got to tell ya, having read through these, no tiny mishaps at weddings will ever scare us again!
A movie quote that resonates with a lot of internet users is Harvey Dent’s line from 2008’s ‘The Dark Knight’ that, “You either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain.” The idea is that no matter how good of a person you might seem to be, eventually, you’ll fall from grace and end up going against your own supposed principles. The people you respect and adore one day might be whom you detest the next because you learn what they’ve done.
What makes a photo memorable? Is it the lighting? The mood? The angle? Sure, all of those things are important. But! What. You. Really. Need. Is… impeccable timing! In fact, timing and rhythm are what great photos and wonderful comedy have in common. Without them, no technical know-how will save your work from falling flat on its face.
Many things shape the face of a city: buildings, bridges, parks, sculptures... even benches! That's right, this simple form of public furniture can also add more emotion to a particular site.
