It is famous for its woodworks, especially canes. The distinguishing feature of those canes is the raw material used in production, namely cornel tree. Those trees grow by themselves on humid lands of the region. Each year, 6-7 branches are cut off from a cornel tree and left to dry for two years to be later used for cane-making. Once dried, the branches are straightened by hand and crafting begins. Thanks to the flexibility and robustness of the branches, even most sophisticated patterns can be applied on thinnest canes.
