Midway through 2016 I had the opportunity to push a new unlockable/purchasable item in Paragon. These were concepted by my good friend Paul Richards and I was honored to have the opportunity to model my favorite ones to form the basis for testing of the system. I documented the pipeline so we could continue to produce these as I worked on other areas of the project. I modeled them in 3dsmax and Zbrush, and baked and textured them in Substance Painter. These Banners spawn when a player kills an opposing player, or destroy a game-play objective. They then de-rez after a few moments. They have some fun customization options that allow the player to make them truly their own.
