"Lady of the Glade" was inspired by my first explorations of Canada outside of BC. Quite naturally, that led me to Alberta and what have become regular visits to Edmonton, Calgary, Red Deer, Lethbridge and Medicine Hat. For any of you who have not been there, there is a very special moment - as you are driving out from the edge of the Rocky Mountains - when you enter Canada's great plains and realize that you have just encountered a new world. You can't help but look back, as the mountains disappear in the distance...replaced by farmland on small rolling hills, and wonder which is the dream and which is real. Find yourself there as the sun is setting, and you'll be sure you are in a dream. "Lady of the Glade" is the closest I've gotten to capturing my love for Alberta's landscape. In many ways, it reminds me of home. She has done well in Alberta too, having earned a magazine cover birth with "Rising Women Magazine"; based out of Calgary. See www.risingwomen.com for details and a short bio of Olga and her work. "Lady of the Glade" is a member of the third wave of the Feminine Spirit series and has won my heart completely. She can stand alone quite well, but pairs beautifully with "Serenity" or "Twirl" and most others of the Feminine Spirit series. As for where it should hang...I have trouble thinking of a place it would not fit.

Fun Watercolor Techniques to Try Today Back in high school, I remember sitting in art class and being SO FRUSTRATED with the watercoloring section of the semester. I thought my watercolor drawings absolute worst. I’d look over and see other students just “getting it” and meanwhile I was over in struggle-town. Been ther

Continuous line drawing/painting portrait using Windsor and Newton Watercolours. Roughly 8 x 12 inches or 21 x 30 cm Painted on cold pressed watercolour paper. Comes unframed Tips for care: Keep out of direct sunlight, frame or place in other protective casing as soon an possible, make sure the backing for this frame has acid free paper, hang in a stable environment where there aren't drastic changes in heat or chance of high humidity. (heat and damp in general are the enemy) I love combining pen and line-work with expressive watercolour. This is kind of building on the shape dancer series i made ago while a but the line work is more or a continuous line style. I've been working in a similar style to this a lot more recently and it's so much fun! Watercolour is something I dabbled with out of necessity. Believe it or not, when I first started painting i was a die-hard oil painter and barely touched other art supplies but when I left school i no longer had the large well ventilated studio place needed for oil painting. i needed to find something that that was more portable and flexible, so incredulously, I tried watercolour and fell it love. Painting in this medium just feels right and I haven't gone back. I love the textures you can make, the way translucent colours layer and the convenience of it. I've been painting seriously for about two years now, when I made my first ever commission but I've been drawing my entire life. Growing up in an artistic home, I’ve always been encouraged to express myself creatively. I think it’s important to always keep exploring new techniques, ideas and materials, so there's some or versatility in my concept and style as an artist. What I love about art is that there are no wrong moves. And when I finish a piece I’ve worked so hard on, the satisfaction I get from it is incomparable with anything else.

The print is a reproduction of my original watercolor painting. A barefoot figure beholds the environment. Its inner world (cozy nook - house in a forest under the sun and trees) is open to everything outside. You may say that it's naive a bit, but I believe in this way. Size: A4 - 11.7" x 8.3" (29,7 x 21cm) Big hug💚 ✔ Please note: - this listing is for the art print only. - COPYRIGHT doesn't transfer with the purchase of the product. Original watercolour painting on high quality watercolour paper 300 gsm. I love landscapes, still life, nature and wildlife, lights and shadows, colorful sight. These things inspired me and appeared many of my artworks. About this artwork: Classification, Techniques & Styles Watercolor Watercolor is a painting in which gum arabic binds transparent pigments revealing the support of the painting. The gouache, of identical composition, is opaque. A watercolor is a water-based painting on paper. We rarely speak of a painting for a work painted in watercolor. Watercolor paintings are considered to be a unique way to creatively represent dreams, illusions, emotions and luminous feelings using water soluble pigments. However, painting with watercolors can be difficult. It's a difficult medium to master, in large part because it can be ruthless and unpredictable. Mistakes are difficult to correct and its fluid nature makes it difficult to control. Yet it is these very qualities that give the medium its undeniable charm. Technic Painting Painting is an art form of painting on a surface by aesthetically applying colored fluids. Painters represent a very personal expression on supports such as paper, rock, canvas, wood, bark, glass, concrete and many other substrates. Work of representation or invention, painting can be naturalistic and figurative, or abstract. It can have narrative, descriptive, symbolic, spiritual, or philosophical content.
