Rigid heddle loom weaving kit with instructions on warping. Included are a fully assembled loom along with all the accessories you will need. Additionally the kit has the yarn and a pattern to weave a stunning 100% british wool burgundy, pink and deep yellow scarf using Wool Decanted British wool. This loom has been designed and made totally by us in our workshop in the UK. This compact loom is perfect for a beginning weaver to learn to weave on. The loom also has a neutral position though allowing the weaver to progress onto more complex pick up stick weaving techniques. Kit comes with: - A rigid heddle loom with a weaving width of 26cm - a reed with a sett of 8epi - perfect for weaving double knit DK yarn - a booklet of instructions with images and a step by step guide enabling you to set the loom up and weave on it. - instructions and pattern to weave the colour block scarf - two clamps - three shuttles - warping peg - plastic threading hook, - 3 skeins of luxury British wool yarn from Wool Decanted in burgundy, pink and deep yellow sufficient to weave the scarf. The rigid heddle loom is made from FSC and PEFC birch plywood. Dimensions of the loom are 34cm x 39cm x 11cm(with the heddle in the up position) or 9cm(with the heddle in the down position).

A beautifully soft hand woven scarf. Ideal on a chilly day with a nice weight and a lovely warmth. This is a totally unique and individual hand woven item which has been lovingly made. Three variations: A Length is 1.64m with an additional 15cm twisted fringe at each end. Width is 25cm. B Length is 1.68m with an additional 12cm twisted fringe at each end. Width is 27cm. Darker yarn is very dark grey/black C Length is 1.63m with an additional 16cm twisted fringe at each end. Width is 27cm. Darker yarn is a grey. This scarf has been woven on my Ashford rigid heddle loom using a variety of wool yarns in yellow, beige and dark grey colours. The beige yarn is a Rowan wool with dark black flecks. A tabby weave pattern has been used. After weaving the scarf has been washed and gently pressed. Wash by hand in cool water with minimal agitation. Do not tumble dry.
