I found these pictures taken inside a Manila textile mill to be very interesting. Although I have never been in a textile mill before by looking at the pictures I can close my eyes and hear the repetitive sounds, and smell of the machinery and the scent of the new thread and woven fabric, my imagination tells me it was good. Wish I knew more about the history of the textile industry in Manila. I wonder if the ladies ever seen the pictures or if the children, grand children of later generations can recognize them today. That would be wonderful if a name could be put with the ladies. To me that is more important than the political structure or wars of the time, it is the people that lived daily lives, who had loved ones that they cherished, that they lived, worked, and had happy times and difficult times with through their years of life.
