Summertime and the livin' is easy...or maybe I should say LAZY. We have had major weather events here ( a microburst which caused a lot of trees to come down) cold days, rainy days, and hot humid intolerable days. And it is only the end of June! We have been here..there..everywhere...and nowhere! Here is a recent acquisition to my ever-growing collection of Edith Flack Ackley dolls and ephemera. It is a watercolor by her daughter Telka Ackley and was probably painted in the early 50s or late 40s. Edith had a line of greeting cards that were sold through catalogs that featured art work by her daughter of her own dolls. When this arrived it felt like Christmas in June! The rest of the summer awaits. I will be here even less frequently because I am turning into a slug when it comes to blogging. Social media makes it so much easier to post things, stay in touch and visit others. But, I will be back...just maybe not right away! Hope the summer (or winter depending on your location) is treating you well! As always... until the next time... enjoy the day!
