Angle d'art : L'art sous tous les angles
I moved to Asheville a year ago and I really love it here. This big move has caused me to re-evaluate what really matters and take a close look at what I want to keep in my life and what I want to let go of in my life. And this is true in my art business as well. I am starting the process of making a really big change that will give me more space and time. It will allow me to focus on what I love- making art and connecting with my customers and let go of some of the parts that are not at all in my zone of genius. It's exciting. And scary. And a bit overwhelming, honestly. But I can feel the Yes in the center of my being. The quiet but clear Yes that I am trusting even when the fear begins to rise up. You know the feeling? May we all follow the way that feels like Home. This print reads : The way is always home. This listing is for a 6x6 wood print. This print is ready to hang without framing! It looks so much like the original painting. I have the prints made from a local giclΓ©e printer in Asheville who scans my artwork and creates the print to exactly match the original. It shocks even me! I hand glue the print to the board with loving care in my studio in the mountains and add hand-painted embellishments. Once that is dry, I add a UV protective acrylic top coat to the whole piece. The sides are kept natural wood, varnished and are 3/4 inch wide. Both the front and back are signed by me.
A Japanese "power spot" is a personal spiritual space in one's home. Think of it as a hybrid space for meditation, creativity and rest.
I created this because I was really tired of silly sketchbook assignments like draw your shoe or what's in your fridge. I want my students to take every learning opportunity they can. So what this Choice Board does is it forces students to examine and look at famous artwork more closely and on their...

This is a fine art print of my original oil painting, "Metamorphosis Phase 2". Relating the cocoon, monarch butterfly, and the female figure, I am bringing attention to the similar changes that take place as butterflies transform to when humans transform internally. PLEASE READ: Prints 8.5" x 11" will be sent as photographed with the white space above and below the butterfly image. I package this size in a plastic sleeve, and mail the print in a sturdy, cardboard mailer for safe delivery. ALL prints LARGER than 8.5" x 11" will be trimmed into squares by removing the excess white paper from the top and the bottom of the butterfly image. I leave a standard 1/4" white border around the edges. These large format prints are carefully rolled by me and placed in a protective mailing tube. This piece is the second part to my first cocoon painting, Metamorphosis Phase 1." These two paintings pair together nicely, or are strong on their own. When creating this piece, I wanted to imagine what the transformation process would look like half way through the metamorphosis of a human to a butterfly. A continuation of my self reflection, and acknowledgement of personal growth. If you have plans to purchase more than one phase of the Metamorphosis Three-Part Painting Series, please note that Phase 1, 2, and 3 all have varying shades of green. They are not meant to be prefect matches. I did this as a way to show the passage of time by representing changes in day through various shades of green. Each print is done by me from my home with a professional Canon printer on Canon's Pro Matte Photo Paper. Creating these prints from home allows me to examine each print to ensure high quality resolution and accurate color matching before they go to their new home. Frame NOT included. Once your print ships, I am no longer in control of how long your print will take to get to you nor am I responsible for delaysπ (Note: colors may vary depending on your display settings on your at home device). This is a fine art print of my original oil painting, "Transform". Inspiration: "In order for a seed to achieve its greatest expression, it must come completely undone. The shell cracks, its insides come out, and everything changes. To someone who does not understand growth, it would look like total destruction." - Cynthia Occelli The flower I chose to incorporate into this painting is called "Lily of the Valley", or also know as "Lady's Tears". It is famous for its sweet smell, but also lethal poison. I wanted this flower to be a metaphor for things in life often being misleading. Pain can feel destructive, but what if it those pains are signs of internal transformations taking place? PLEASE READ: Prints 8.5" x 11" have an even 1/4" white border around all edges. When I ask my readers what their single biggest struggle is in painting the most common answer by far is.... 'I want my paintings to look more realistic'. I think it is always important to have some quality of realism to your paintings no matter what style you paint in. Otherwise, people will be left

This mermaid art print is absolutely gorgeous. The dress is so detailed and there is so much to see here. Every time I look at this print I see something new. The squid swimming to the left of the print, what looks to be the remains of a ship, the starfish at the bottom. I love this print. I love doodling as much as I love reading about art and I wanted to see what these famous artworks would look like if I drew them in my own style.
