This beautiful pendant has been completely handmade from copper wire and features a purple Amethyst cabochon. The stone sits within a frame of thick copper wire, shaped into a pointed oval. I have created matching scroll details around the sides of the pendant to capture the stone - these spirals and swirls have been hammered flat and then carefully laced together with fine wire. The Amethyst cabochon is oval shaped and measures 25 x 18mm. It is slightly translucent and contains different shades of purple. This particular stone came from my stash of supplies, and I believe it could be a reconstituted stone - made up of small fragments of stone fused together, which gives it such a lovely bright colour. I'm afraid I don't know for certain, but it was too pretty not to use! It comes with a 2mm thick waxed black cotton cord, complete with handmade fastenings. The cord length is approx. 40cm but I can supply a different length if required - please let me know your preferred length via the 'choose options' button. The pendant measures just over 5cm long from the top of the bail & just under 2.5cm across at the widest point. It is approx. 8mm deep. This distinctive little pendant features a circular flat-backed stone, which I have wrapped with copper wire. One wire loops around the stone, extending above & forming a simple bail. Identical hammered spirals of wire then sit in front & behind of the stone, woven together at the bottom, & then looping up to wrap around the frame. The stone itself is dark brown colour with one large band running through it which is paler & slightly reflective - much like Tiger's Eye. I believe it is a man-made or synthetic stone, & not a natural mined stone. The finished pendant has been oxidised & then polished to a lovely shine.
