British sculptor Richard Stainthorp captures the beautiful energy and fluidity of the human body using wire. The life-sized sculptures feature both figures in motion and at rest, expressed in the form of large-gauged strands that are densely wrapped around and through one another. By doing this, he gives the work an undeniable presence. Stainthorp also allows the bent wires to shine by keeping their metallic appearance free from any obvious painting or additions.

These onion rings are the absolute crispiest onion rings you will ever make or taste. The secret is using sourdough discard as the liquid! It’s thick and tangy, and clings to the raw onions more than any other liquid. Even better, when it fries up, the liquid evaporates, leaving a super crunchy coating on the onion!

A lovely copper leave woven from wire and antiqued with liver of sulphur.
This unusual asymmetric pendant is made from copper wire & features faceted black glass beads. I've formed the frame from one long length of thicker wire, with a spiral sitting inside a pointed oval shape, finished with another spiral for the bail. This has been hammered flat & then woven with very fine wire, with the largest 8mm bead added at the bottom centre, then progressively smaller beads up one side of the frame. The faceted beads catch the light with movement giving a lovely understated sparkle, & the black / copper colour combination is simply classic. I've oxidised the pendant & then polished it with a brass brush to bring out the beautiful detail of the wire weave. It comes with a 2mm thick waxed black cotton cord, complete with handmade fastenings. The cord length is approx. 40cm but I can supply a different length if required - please let me know your preferred length via the 'choose options' button. The pendant itself measures just over 5cm long from top of bail, & just over 2cm across. I will post your order out first class, in a 100% recycled (& reusable!) gift box, within a recycled polythene bag. Read more

This gorgeous little pendant is completely handmade from copper wire & features 4mm faceted glass beads. I've woven a simple band including six beads, each separated by two rows of weaving, which has then been formed into a teardrop shape. The wire ends have been fishtailed, creating a pretty criss-cross detail at the top to finish the design. The pale blue glass looks perfect with copper, & the facets on the beads add just a little sparkle! I've oxidised the pendant to antique the copper, & then polished it by hand with a brass brush. It comes with a 2mm thick waxed black cotton cord, complete with handmade fastenings. The cord length is approx. 40cm but I can supply a different length if required - please let me know your preferred length via the 'choose options' button. The pendant itself measures just under 4.5cm long from the top of the bail, & 2.5cm across at the widest point. It will be posted out first class, in a 100% recycled (& reusable!) gift box, within a recycled polythene bag. Read more
