Hi everyone, I recently bought a few images by Ching-Chou Kuik and the one I used for today's creation is called Blue Sea Illusion. Isn't she wonderful? And I had a wonderful time colouring her. I decided to use this blue mermaid fairy in my art journal. I started with making my background with the Dylusions Paints and some lovely stencils by Dutch Doobadoo. For the border I used a Dylusion stamp and some white and black markers. The image is off course coloured with my Copic Markers. I have been using the following colours: skin: E000,01,01,11,21,04, BV00 hair: B02,04,05,06,39 eyes: YG03,05,17 butterflies: YG03, 07,17, Y15, 17, B05, 07 leaves: YG03,05,17 yellow dots: Y15, 17 jewelry: Y15, 17, YG03,05,17 the quote was found on the internet and was anonymous have a colourful day see you next month Miranda
Hello, dear Copic fans, Last Saturday, I taught my first classes of Special Techniques 1 & 2 of the European Copic Colouring Program. In the main focus of these classes are the colouring of folds/pleads and natural hair, so I thought it a good idea to do a bit of practising. My favourite way for this is colouring images of a bit larger seize than images for cards. Some time ago, I started a Coloring Book for me, just for the joy of colouring. As I can't draw these images myself, I am happy that there is a number of talented artists at www.deviantart.com who offer their line-art for free use. So I used this beautiful lady to practise the colouring of folds: You can find the line-art here , the artist is Ngaladel. I will finish the colouring later, maybe practising how to colour sky or foliage ;-) I used the following Copics: Hair: E33, E35, E29, E25 Skin: E50, E51, E01 E02 Lips: E04 Dress: B61, B63, B66, B69 Flowers: YG97, B61, B63, B66, YR20, YR21, YR24, YR27 Shadow: N0, N1 On this stunning image called "Apple Lust", I practised colouring of hair: In the upper left corner you can see where I tested the colours for the dress. You can find the image here, the artist is TerraForever. I used these Copics: Apple: YR18, YR14, YR68, YG63 Skin: E50, E51, E01, E02 Hair: E50, E51, E53, E31 Dress: YR20, YR21, YR23 Tiara: YR24, YR27 I really enjoyed colouring these images and I am really looking forward to teach my classes - well prepared! Big Hugs Barbara/Kreativmonster

Welcome back! Today is Bellarific Friday at Stamping Bella and we were tasked with a super hard challenge this week...create a one layer card! YIKES! Actually, I went into this with a plan. My strategy was to use a really large image that would primarily fill the card, then I wouldn't be tempted to fill the empty space with layers and embellishments. Simple, right? Yeah, right. I decided to use Uptown Girls Belinda and Bernadette-Bench Buddies, a large-ish image, that would take up most of my A2 card. I stamped the image, but noticed when ink hit the paper, it was a teeny bit askew. Oh, well, I knew I could straighten it up when I trimmed the panel down to fit my card base. No biggie. When it came time to start trimming, I miscalculated a skosh and when I finally got everything evened out, I was aghast to see that I was left with a minuscule 3 7/8 x 3 7/8" panel. Ouch! Worst part was, I couldn't fudge it by adding bigger layers of patterned paper. Nope! It's a one layer card, no wiggle room there! Anywhoo, my final card is 4 x 4". It's not even large enough to accommodate the sentiment that came with this lovely set. Sheesh. LOL! Visit the Stamping Bella Shop for LOTS more fabulous images and swing by the Blogabella to see all the wonderful single layer cards the lovely designers came up with. Until next time, stay crafty!

Hello crafty friends! It's time for another Scenic Saturday card over on the Bellarific blog and since it is my first one in February that means it is time for another Tiny Townie Garden Girl. Each month I plan to color up the flower which represents that month, starting with Carnation in January. February's flower is Violet and she is just as sweet as can be. The 'shy violet' saying kept running through my head so I decided to make the majority of her look quiet and understated then had the little flowers adorning her be the vibrant pops of color. I'll admit that I had a new decorative die that I wanted to pair with her and it ended up influencing the overall design in a big way. Because the die made this smaller perforated rectangle that Violet just fit into perfectly, I decided to use it as a guide for my scene coloring behind her. All I added to finish this particular card was a few gems and this great sentiment from the Spring Sentiment set. Limiting the amount of white space that you have for coloring is always less intimidating and can seem much more do-able for anyone who wants to color in some scenery for their characters but may not feel up to taking on an entire card front. When that happens take a peek at the tools you have on hand like stencils and dies to see how they can give you those decorative limits. You still get the fun and creative release of coloring in whatever scene you imagine plus the added bonus of a clean and simple design that allows your character to really stand out as the star of the show. Stay crafty! Dette motivet fra Saturated Canary får meg til å tenke på sol, sommer og ferie. Kanskje hjelper det...:) This image from Saturated Canary makes me think of the sun, summer and holidays. It might help for the summer weather too?..:) Jeg har brukt mønsterark fra MajaDesign og MyMindsEye, blomster fra WOC, Petaloo og Kort&Godt, sommerfuglpunch fra EKSuccess og tekststempler fra NorskStempelblad og Papirgleder. The papers are from MajaDesign and MyMindsEye, flowers are WOC, Petaloo and Kort&Godt, butterfly punch from EKSuccess and the sentiments are from NorskStempelblad and Papirgleder. Hipster er selvfølgelig fargelagt med Copics, og for første gang har jeg prøvd å lage bakgrunn med skyer - etter Delphine sin tutorial. Jeg har valgt bort den mørkeste grå, og fotolyset tar vekk noe, men det er skyer der...:) Hipster is, of course, colored with my copics, and for the first time I have made a background with clouds. Delphine have a lovely tutorial here. I have chosen not to use the darkest grey, and my photo light has taken away most of the clouds - but they are there...:) Her er forøvrig fargene jeg har brukt E11,21,00,000,93 E39,37,35,33,50 E59,YR09,07,04,02 YG97,95,93,91 Y19,15 R59,27,24 BG05,02,00 Kortet er et staffelikort med helt enkel pynt inni. Skrivefeltet er stanset ut med en Spellbinderdie. It's an easelcard with a quite simple inside. For the writing spot I have used a Spellbinder die. Deltar i følgende utfordringer med dette kortet: CopicMarkerEurope - Summer Colours Scrap'a'Long #17 - Sommer Simon Says - Anything goes Crazy 4 Challenges - Add some butterflies to your project Så håper vi på sommervær her også - ha ei fin uke alle sammen:)
Hello friends! Changes are happening with Sweet November and 7 Kids and after many wonderful digi releases together this will be the final one. The reasons are exciting and good for both Kelly and myself but that doesn't mean this ending isn't a tad bitter sweet. Still, in order for growth and new opportunities to happen change is inevitable and even though it can be scary and sad we can be grateful for our time together while looking forward to the future. So for this final Vault release we are getting ready for Easter with the Bunny Tails bunnies that were originally released back in 2014. These four long eared laddies have plenty to keep them busy as they hop from one task to the next. Whether it is painting eggs, hiding eggs, collecting butterflies, or even digging up a carrot or two it is difficult to find them resting for even a moment. This month's FREEBIE to all 7 Kids Customers Create Facebook group members is Lambert, the lamb. He will be available to grab free for the next two days and then will move into the store for purchase through March. Come April first he and all of the Sweet November images will no longer be available in the 7 Kids store. And finally we have our exclusive March Mer Tot that all of the participants of the February SN challenge will be getting. We know that sometimes it can be intimidating to put ourselves out there and share our creativity so these monthly Mer Tots will be our way of thanking everyone who plays along and shares the Sweet November love. There will still be one final SN challenge with one last Mertot coming in April so I hope to see you all play along! Now don't miss out on all the fun and Live coloring videos I will be doing in the 7 Kids Customers Create Facebook group today as well, we would love to have you join us! Hello! Larisa here. I can't believe Easter is almost here! Time goes by so fast! We will be having a big family get-together at our house so things will be a little crazy tomorrow for sure! But t
Woo Hoo... I managed to finish up the new Whimsy Stamps Elisabeth Bell images. Before the next release. This is Lemon Pepper. Isn't she adorable? I love the fun and bright Basic Grey paper Picadilly. How about those cool clouds. I used a template I found over on Bev Rochester's Blog. You can find it on her blog All the Things I Love - HERE I also made up a couple of cloud templates of my own if you would like to download those to use for your cloud making. One has smaller puffs and the other has larger puffs. HERE See you tomorrow. Have a great day!
Hi there! I'm back on the Bellarific Blog with another Scenic Saturday card to share. I don't know about all of you but lately I've been struggling a bit with cabin fever and just wanting to escape from all of the horrible news that comes with the scary situation we are currently living through. So my responsible way of running away from it all has been through revisiting some of my favorite fantasy movies while I'm stuck at home. There is nothing like a good adventure story full of brave knights, elves, wizards and most especially... dragons! So when it came time to create I decided to continue my fantastical escape with this super cute Set of Dragons. They are too sweet to be scary so I wanted to have them living in a castle amongst the clouds and knowing that going in I made sure to wipe away the ink from their feet and bottoms before stamping to really create the illusion that they are bursting through or sitting in those soft fluffy clouds. This technique also works great for characters you want to color into snow drifts or long grasses etc. I kept the clouds light and pastel so that each of the dragons would pop like little jewels against them. I hope you all will try creating your own stamping stories and let yourselves get lost in them for awhile. :) Supply list: cardstock- Papertrey Ink and Copic X-Press It stamps- Stamping Bella (Set of Dragons and Tiny Townie with an Elephant sentiment) ink- Memento tuxedo black Trinity Stamps slimline stitched card panels die Trinity Stamps slimline scalloped card panels die sequins Copic markers: clouds/castle- Y0000, Y000, Y11, B0000, B000, B01, BG70, BG90, B60, B91, V0000, V000, V01, BV0000, BV20, RV0000, RV000, RV10, 0 dragon 1- Y000, Y02, Y18, YG01, YG05, G07, BG01, BG05, BG09 dragon 2- RV00, RV02, RV06, BV02, BV13, BV04, BV17, BV08, BV29, C3, C5 dragon 3- BG10, BG11, BG13, BG45, BG07, BG09, B37, B39, FYG1, FYG2, YG01, G07 dragon 4- Y00, Y03, Y18, Y35, YR04, RV04, RV17, RV19, RV66, RV69
