Youth also practice making cakes, candy, pastries, and pies. The curriculum comes as loose-leaf paper to make it easier for youth to pull out recipes. Purchase a binder to store the manual! First and foremost, let me put this out there... I am NOT GIVING ANY KIND OF LEGAL ADVICE. This is just how I helped organize all the court documentation for my friends child custody matters with his ex. I will include links to some of the forms I use to keep track of information to have on hand for court but again, THIS IS NOT LEGAL ADVICE. My friend has an 8 year old daughter and until she's 18 it's a constant child custody battle and keeping track of all the necessary information and paperwork was becoming quite a hassle. I searched "Organizing Child Custody Paperwork" "Maintaining Child Custody Papers" and any other combination or change of phrase there of and found NOTHING. I guess they don't realize just how many families go pro-se, or just want to keep things more organized than just in a box. You can download all the files from DropBox here. Tools: 4" Binder 1-31 Divider Tabs 31 Sheet Protectors 4x6 photo sheet protectors (I like these from Amazon) All Your Documents/Information Print Outs of All the Printables (available below, or make your own) Instructions To begin print off the Divider Pages which also includes the cover page and binder spine for the binder. Once you have them printed place each in a sheet protector and then into your binder in the order you feel would be most helpful to you (this is why there is no Table of Contents because you may not need all the sections or you may have a different order that works best for you). Also, the 1-31 Divider Tabs will come with a TOC sheet you can fill in. I know the number pages are shallower than the sheet protectors, but they're still easy to find since everything else is black and white. 3 hole punch all documents so that they fit neatly in the binder, be careful 3-hole punching originals, I, personally, would only do copies and keep your originals in a box. Once you have all your sections laid out and your pages punched place them in your binder. I have a few sheets that I've built that I find helpful for maintaining information. My Incidents of Contempt, Timeline Summary, Weekly Calendar 10/04-08/22, All my printables are free to download I only ask that you do not sell or steal my work and please leave all copyrights in place. If you would like to share my documents please direct them to my blog, do not re-link. Only 2 years in the court system and this is how thick his binder is. AND this is only the pertinent information, I have hundreds of other sheets that I have scanned in for him using my NeatDesk scanning software & scanner. Just remember, with planning and organization, you CAN do it all.

Hey y'all! You ready to make a 2021 study binder for come, follow me? If you’re new to the blog (👋!!), one way to study Come, Follow Me is with a study binder. Each year I make the binder inserts as a gift to y’all to use & enjoy. Here, I'll use photo + video to guide you through each study binder page. You know what you want when you see it? Are you ready to see how to put this thing together, right away? Then you'll love this quick video on how it all comes together. 🎬 You saw the inserts + the steps. (Ready to print? I share links at the bottom of each post. 🖨) Here they are in photo form so you can get a glimpse of each part for as long as is needed. Isn't it so perfect that the prints from the video are free + easy to use? Scroll down for the link. 👇 I am just loving the Kirtland Temple as the front cover this year. So iconic! Ignore the sketchy photography/lighting of the pic. 🤣 Enjoy what there is to love about this 2021 reading schedule! This Restoration quote bookmark can help motivate/remind you to do that D+C study and hold your place in your scriptures! Hang it up on your fridge, wall, church bulletin board, or wherever you know it will help you stay on track for this year.💁🏻♀️ The spine + dividers are a few of the extra goodies I added to the kit this year! This step definitely takes the longest-lots of cuting, pasting, and hole punching. But I think it's so worth it to get these leveled-up divider tabs. The final step is as simple as can be. 😌 Insert the study pages (daily worksheet, weekly page, sunday notes) and use them--how? I'll detail + share examples below. 💬 The first study page is probably the most complicated. Let's get it over with! I think the information bubbles in the middle speak for themselves 😂 but you may be wondering... what’s with the hexagons? I designed this page to be used with the manual for Come, Follow Me. In the “ideas for personal study” section, you’ll find around 4 paragraphs like this one below, about D+C 1.👇 “The Lord invites me to 'search these commandments.' A preface introduces a book. It identifies the book’s themes and purposes and helps readers prepare to read. As you read section 1—the Lord’s 'preface' to the Doctrine and Covenants (verse 6)—look for the themes and purposes the Lord gave for His revelations. What do you learn from section 1 that will help you get the most benefit from your study of the Doctrine and Covenants? For example, you might ponder what it means to 'hear the voice of the Lord' in these revelations (verse 14) or to 'search these commandments' (verse 37)." See also the introduction to the Doctrine and Covenants." --Come, Follow Me for Individuals + Families, 2021 You’ll see there are questions, references, segments, activities and more in these paragraphs. Each bite sized question, source or insight can be written in one of the hexagons! 🤓 Get a detailed view below. Next is the weekly study page. 😎 This weekly study tracker is so multifunctional. Plan out how you’re going to divide this week’s reading, record one insight daily, write your favorite verse from each study + so much more. 📋 Finally are the Sunday notes! I'm so excited about them! While the above version is colorful, as I created the study pages, I realized to be realistic, there would need to be black and white editions to help people save ink. So the coloring page versions were born! You can record your insights while your children are kept busy by coloring in the flowers and letters on the page. You can also give your children or yourself to enjoy on their own. A spiritual way to entertain your little ones on Sundays? Yes, please! It, and the rest of these amazing 2021 printables are all yours. But before you download + dash, I want to make sure you know that this isn't the only resource I have to make your life easier as a busy Latter-Day Saint. 💛 If you are confused on how to use any of the binder pages, I've made a photo + video tutorial to help you out. 🤳 And to easily see & have all my free Latter-Day Saint resources at your fingertips, follow me on Pinterest! Now here's the promised PDF in English, Español + Português. Happy studying!

Welcome to the Prayer Binder Challenge for February! We'll be building a prayer binder from scratch! If you already have a prayer binder, I have ideas for you to add to each section (Just skip to the UPDATE YOUR BINDER section). Ready? Let's do this! ASSEMBLING YOUR BINDER 1. Gather all your basic supplies. You can find a list of what I use here. 2. Decide what sections you will have for your dividers. I have made simple prayer binders in the past with the main dividers of Praise, Rest, Confess, Petition, Others, Family, and Misc. These are great if you are starting out. If you have a few specific family members you want to pray for, instead of making one family divider you might want to put each name on a divider (for example: Husband's name, child's name, child's name, etc.) depending on how much room you have in your binder. 3. Make your dividers. There are a few different ways to do this. Make simple dividers by using pre-made tabbed dividers like the ones found here. Make simple but custom dividers by using page protectors and your favorite paper inside. My friend Dawne showed me this and I love how well they work. See them in action here. Make your own printable (on cardstock) customizable tabs like the ones I use by using the Word document template found in the Subscriber Bonuses tab. (In order for this to format properly, when you open the file, you must click the link at the top that says "open with Microsoft Office Word.") The font I used is Beautiful Mess. I love these paper packs at JoAnn. They are high quality cardstock and very affordable! Just be sure that if you are printing on these, that you don't choose a paper that is too dark to see the print. My favorite paper pack is this pack. I've made several gift prayer binders with them and they turn out beautiful! 4. Start filling your sections with scriptures, lists, pictures, etc. I don't usually write out my prayers each day, instead I have a lot of verses under each section that I pray through. I often take note of any insights I have during prayer or Bible reading on post it notes and stick them on some of the pages too. There are more details on some of my older posts on my prayer binder here. My binder is not Pinterest perfect beautiful. It's a workhorse. I often think of Clara's room in the movie War Room and how the walls were full of notes, papers, pictures, and cards, but it was absolutely beautiful because it worked. I think of my binder the same way. Take your time getting the basics of your binder together, then when you are ready for some specific ideas on what to add to each section, continue on through the Update Your Binder section below. UPDATE YOUR BINDER This is where I'm going to give you pictures, links and printouts to add to your prayer binder. I'll list each section below, share some pictures of my binder and give you some resources to add to each. PRAISE The Attributes of God from Josh McDowell Ministries. Copy and paste any that stand out to you into a document to print out and add to your binder. These verses from 1 Chronicles 29:10-13 are wonderful to pray: Therefore David blessed the Lord in the presence of all the assembly. And David said: “Blessed are you, O Lord, the God of Israel our father, forever and ever. Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and you are exalted as head above all. Both riches and honor come from you, and you rule over all. In your hand are power and might, and in your hand it is to make great and to give strength to all. And now we thank you, our God, and praise your glorious name. I am also starting a "God List" for my praise section. You can make this an ongoing project by adding a few blank pages behind your praise tab, and work your way through the Psalms like she shows in the link above. (The short version of it is: read through a Psalm slowly and start listing anything you learn about God. You'll create your own personalized attributes of God list. I like to do this some mornings just for a few minutes and keep adding as I go. This list continues to be my favorite things to praise God for. I have a free copy of an "enter in" page for you to print off and use in your binder. Find it in the Subscriber Bonuses. (The password is at the bottom of all my emails sent to you.) REST This is one of my favorite sections in my binder. This is my "breathe out" section... or my complaint/work things out section. Do you realize that complaint to God is prayer? All through the Psalms we see psalmists complain to God, some of them even bitterly, and yet they are prayer. This section is so much more than complaints though, and usually what starts as complaint turns to thanksgiving, especially when I read that yellow post it quote: "Why isn't this cross bigger? Why isn't His mercy less. I should have all taken away from me, but His mercy chooses to bless me instead." I use this as my sit and work things out with God section. I talk about my day, my week ahead, my problems. I list what I need to be better at waiting for Him on, a lot of verses on rest, on trust, and some quotes and song lyrics. One of my favorite quotes is from Puritan pastor Matthew Henry on waiting. It's from his commentary on Exodus when the Hebrews had left Egypt and were panicked because of Pharaoh's army coming behind them and the impassable Red Sea in front. Matthew Henry wrote this: He directs them to leave it to God, in a silent expectation of the event: "Stand still, and think not to save yourselves either by fighting or flying; wait God's orders, and observe them; be not contriving what course to take, but follow your leader; wait God's appearances, and take notice of them, that you may see how foolish you are to distrust them. Compose yourselves, by an entire confidence in God, into a peaceful prospect of the great salvation God is now about to work for you. Hold your peace; you need not so much as give a shout against the enemy, as Jos. 6:16. The work shall be done without any concurrence of yours.' Note, (1.) If God himself bring his people into straits, he will himself discover a way to bring them out again. (2.) In times of great difficulty and great expectation, it is our wisdom to keep our spirits calm, quiet, and sedate; for then we are in the best frame both to do our own work and to consider the work of God. Your strength is to sit still (Isa. 30:7), for the Egyptians shall help in vain, and threaten to hurt in vain. Some verses to add to this section: Mark 6:31, Zephaniah 3:16-17, Psalm 62:5, and Job 22:21 I also have a printable page with the verse below for you to add to your binder in the Subscriber Bonuses tab. (The password is at the bottom of all my emails sent to you.) CONFESS This section. Oh, this section. I used to have a hard time here, because (really!) I used to think that I actually did pretty okay each day, especially if I didn't outwardly sin by yelling at my boys or lose my temper, etc. I was kind of at a loss of what to confess, especially since the one rule I have for this section is to review only the last 24 hours (learned from The Hour that Changes the World). But my love for the Puritans eventually taught me how to search my heart and I'm now never at a loss of what to confess here. Here are some things I have for this section: From the Valley of Vision, A Disciple's Renewal. You can download a PDF of this little booklet on Self-Examination too. It's got some great questions to think and pray over. I wrote them out on a page in my binder. And I have a few pages in my binder with great questions I've written out from this site. (Scroll down to Appendix A in the PDF for the questions.) These questions are what I've put in the boxes page below. I try to think and pray through one or two each time. I think of this section as my "scrub my heart" section. I have a free copy of those boxes for you to print off and fill in yourselves in the Subscriber Bonuses tab. (The password is at the bottom of all my emails sent to you.) Okay, that's it for this post! Now go forth and add to your own binder! We'll move on to more sections next week. Now it's your turn! Please share any specific verses or quotes or tips you've added to your prayer binder in the comments below so this will be a valuable and helpful resource to many! God Bless,

This month is prayer month here on the blog. I'm super excited to do a series of blog posts and videos about my prayer binder because it has grown and changed so much from my original one. And since praying with my prayer binder is not the only way I pray, I'll share some different ways I've learned to pray that help keep prayer time from becoming stale. Today I'm going to share the first three sections (with LOTS of pictures!) of my prayer binder. But, first, the binder itself. For years, I had a cheap half-sized binder that eventually fell apart at the seams. So I upgraded to this heavy duty one, and it has really held up well. (Plus the color!) If you don't have a Staples nearby, these half size binders on Amazon are fun and work well too. I am constantly collecting quotes and verses and scatter them throughout my binder. Spurgeon is a favorite! PRAISE In the front pocket I have my Gospel Project Notebook. I'll get more into how I use that in a later blog post. My first section is Praise. This is first because I really need to quiet my mind and compose myself before I start praying. It helps most of the time... Here I have some favorite hymns and songs, some verses and some quotes. (I made my divider tabs on Microsoft Word and laminated them. But for years I had just basic tabbed dividers. Some friends use a page protector with pretty cardstock paper inside it for a divider.) All stickers are from theresetgirl.com The page on the right is from Matthew Henry's book A Method for Prayer (which I LOVE). In this section I try to quiet my head and think through all that God is, has done for me, and promises me. King David's prayer (right page) is always good to think through and praise God for. REST My next section is rest. Basically this section is again to quiet my mind and try to settle myself. I have notes, quotes, verses and hymns in this section too. (Can you tell I need a lot of reminders to slow down and focus on what I'm doing?) The quote taped above is from Matthew Henry's commentary on Exodus from blueletterbible.org. As I'm sure you can tell, my prayer binder is a working one. I don't make it picture perfect on every page because it's a tool, not a scrapbook. Sometimes, when I can, I'll take some time to update a page or make it look good (especially if I know it's a page I'll keep for the long term), but most of the time it's a workhorse. Not pretty, but productive. By this point in the REST section, I've hopefully taken some time to breathe and get into what I'm doing. I usually just flip through these pages and pray over or think through what catches my eye that day. The last page of my REST section leads to my CONFESS section. CONFESS A lot of people have questions about this section. I decided long ago to not write down what I'm confessing, for a few reasons. One is because it gets tedious and discouraging to see that I'm struggling with the same thing over and over and over. And two, I don't necessarily want to die and someone see those sins written down. And three, I don't want to focus as much on my sins as I want to focus on Christ and what He did for me. I confess to God in my head (reading through those questions really helps) and then move on. These are the other pages in my CONFESS section. I read and pray through these notes and ask forgiveness and for help and power to overcome. There's a really cool story to go along with that onion picture I drew there. I was going through a particularly hard season of prayer and no answers (in fact, answers in the opposite way I was praying) and met with a dear friend who encouraged me. I told her that I thought I had gotten through all my unbelief years ago. I believed God could do anything and those layers of unbelief had been brushed off, like the dry layers on the outside of an onion. But when this new problem hit, I was doubting that God could handle it. And it revealed a deeper layer of unbelief, not the layers that crumble off easily when you brush against them, but the deeper, meatier layers of unbelief. The layers that are harder to peel off and hurt more. I love the cry of the father in Mark 9:24, "I believe! help my unbelief!" Those are the first three sections of my prayer binder. You can also find a tutorial for my original prayer binder at the top, under the "Prayer Binder" tab.
