Hi friends and welcome to tonight's blog post. I thought I would share a little set of 3" x 3" cards with you all. I absolutely love making these mini card sets and gifting them to friends for their birthdays. I have so much fun personalising them to suit each one's likes and tastes. I'm giving this set to my friend Sue for her birthday. I start with a Thick Whisper White card base that measures 6" x 3", and score along the 6" side @ 3" to create the centre fold line. I cut five squares of cardstock to 2 3/4" x 2 3/4" in Cherry Cobbler, Bermuda Bay, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight and Rich Razzleberry and ran these through the Layered Leaves 3D Dynamic TIEF. Taking the double flower image from 'Petal Palette' stamp set, I stamped onto a stitched square of Thick Whisper White C/S with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and coloured with Stampin' Blends in the embossed panel colours. I attached these squares to the card with dimensionals. To hold the cards I made a box on the Envelope Punch Board and secured with a belly-band. I stamped and die-cut the same flower image and layered onto another stitched square of Cherry Cobbler and attached this to the belly-band with Tombow glue. I brushed Wink of Stella over all of the flowers for a lovely sparkle and added (retired) Glitter Epoxy shapes. For the flowers on the box I used Rhinestones. The set is complete with our matching 3" x 3" envelopes. Thanks for stopping by today. I have a list of all the products I've used to create this mini card set below. Until next time..... Good Morning! The ColourQ has a new challenge for you! ColourQ #126 I love these colors. They remind me of the wallpaper my parents had in our kitchen when I was a kid. Great for 1970's wallpaper, but a challenge for a card. At least for me it was. I played around with the colors for quite awhile and couldn't make them work for me. I think the toughest part of using a set color scheme is coming up with just the right amount of each to make it pleasing to you. Have a great day. Hello and Merry belated Christmas! Hoping you had a wonderful and relaxing Christmas and Boxing Day. This year we hosted Christmas at our house, which was enjoyable but stressful. It’s always…
Happy Saturday. I don't have a paper craft item for you today. But, I also don't want you to miss out of this weeks creative challenge over @ Our Creative Corner. I have been under the weather. Home in bed for that past 4 days sick. I was able to get a few crafts done in advance, but not this one. Our hostess this week is Kristin. And she has a very creative challenge this week. Here it is: Bakin' Beauty. Kristin is obsessed with beautiful cookies and 'fancy' cakes. Her challenge this week is to make a creation based on these delish looking treats - the catch? You MUST use something you would use in baking in your creation. Get creative - use food coloring, paper liners, or sprinkles. Know any cool techniques with egg whites, flour, or sugar? You need to explain your 'ingredient' in your description of your creation. Here is an inspirational photo: I have to admit, that I just love those cookie tags. I thought of using cup cake liners to create a paper blossom. How fun and lovely would that be? I thought that sanding sugar would make a great chunky glitter. And what about using icing coloring to water color with? I think it would be lovely and creative. I just don't have the strength to create. But, I hope that you have a chance to play along with us @ Our Creative Corner. I would love to see what you come up with. I know it will be special!
Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Pootles - Grateful For All Things. Quick card, just because I really love small cards. Just because they're small doesn't
Today I'm excited to be hopping with the Australian girls from the Artisan Design Team. We are having a South Pacific Blog Hop and are showcasing projects from the Gingham Gala suite. The gorgeous projects my talented friends have created will totally inspire you! There are five light, fresh colours in classic gingham checks in the Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper - Balmy Blue, Daffodil Delight, Grapefruit Grove, Highland Heather and Lemon Lime Twist. As I wanted to use all the colours these little 7.6cm x 7.6cm (3" x 3") note cards seemed a great way to do it! The butterflies from the Butterfly Gala Stamp Set have been white embossed onto vellum paper and punched out with the co-ordinating Butterfly Duet Punch. I've layered them onto a square of Shimmery White Cardstock that has been watercoloured with the co-ordinating ink and cut using the Stitched Shapes Framelits. I also splattered from Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint and added some water splodges! The butterflies have also been adhered to swirls of Whisper White Solid Baker's Twine. I split the twine up to create thinner threads. "For You" from the Itty Bitty Greetings Stamp Set has been white embossed on Basic Black Cardstock and given a lift with Dimensionals. And finally, the black enamel dots are from the Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots which I've coloured black with a Sharpie. Due to the popularity of this set stocks are getting low so order now to avoid having to wait till more become available! Live in New Zealand please click on my "Shop Now" link above if you'd like to order these directly or email me on [email protected] - I'd love to be your demonstrator! Next on the hop is my lovely talented friend Tanya - you'll love her stunning cards! And please take time to follow the hop - you won't want to miss any!
Hey peaches, I'm here with a few more sweet little lunchbox notes. I had a few scraps left of that gorgeous Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper and just couldn't let it go to waste. I figured they would be the perfect size for the fronts of my lunchbox notes and they were! I used the cute tiny bird from the Pick A Pennant Stamp Set, along with a mixture of tiny sentiments from various sets. I also stamped the tiny heart from the same set in Pineapple Punch Ink, Flirty Flamingo Ink, and Highland Heather Ink. To finish them off, I added a few sequins. Here they are in the pictures below: I hope that you have enjoyed my tiny cards today. All supplies used are listed below. Thanks so much for stopping by and I'll see you next post! Don't forget!
