Old good Zerg Hydralisk (Hunter Killer) fanart from far 90's StarCraft. Remember I was deeply impressed by design of Zerg and specially of this creature - it was something fresh, new and also very desturbing. Modeled it in couple of weekds in 3DsMAX. As this was pre Zbrush and Mudbox era, then I modeled all with splines (surfaces) - I guess eyes and bone-style elements was mesh-modeled. In materials used mainly bump, specular and some organic textures. It was my best tries of organic modeling at that time. Hope You enjoy my work.
This was one project that was so tough to keep secret. Our hearts were exploding with joy and pride to be working on a title that marked our youth. For one and a half years we poured our hearts into this project so that we could do justice to such a monumental title to the video game industry. Every concept art, illustration, tile, 3D modeling, rigging, animation, compositing, VFX, and even email was made with such a surreal feeling because we had the opportunity to work with Blizzard Entertainment. They are the world standard in excellence and creativity. We learnt so much from them. This is one part of our journey as Lemon Sky that we will definitely cherish to our hearts.
