Capturing the vibrant essence of one of Scotland's serene cities, this striking print reflects the dynamic hues and energy of Perth, Tayside. A twilight palette of burnt oranges, deep blues, and vivid purples amalgamates to form a scene that is both arresting and serene. The reflection of the city in the water below mirrors its beauty, creating a seamless flow between sky and river. The most prominent feature, a church spire, rises gracefully into a sky filled with expressive brushstrokes, imbuing the work with a feeling of both movement and tranquility. The silhouette of the town against the lightening heavens effortlessly embodies the juxtaposition characteristic of contemporary style—where the traditional and the modern intermingle. Warmly illuminated buildings along the riverbank cast a welcoming golden glow, offering a sense of warmth against the cool backdrop of the evening. These spectral lights glimmer on the water's surface, fragmented and abstracted, suggesting the fluidity and constant change inherent to both city life and the natural landscapes that cradle it. This print, resonating with quiet dynamism, offers a contemplative perspective of Perth, inviting the viewer to discover the interplay of light, colour, and reflection that characterises not just the artwork but also the spirited essence of a city that is ever-evolving, yet timeless in its allure.

Glass artist K. William LeQuier’s glass work is inspired by the drama of the natural world and its everyday events. His sculptures reflect this inspiration by mimicking the natural movements of the sea and its creatures. Each sculpture is held steady by a simple black armature, a hint to the artist’s hand involved in the creation of each glass sculpture. After years of blowing glass vessels, LeQuier moved to the sandblasting process where he learned he could generate textures similar to natural erosion. More
