200 Rhode Island Street, San Francisco, Calif. Man, I love this lettering.
Last month, I was able to add some rather wonderful finds to my Counterpoint collection. Let's begin with these completely and totally FABulous magnetic boards, shall we? (Yes, let's do, please.) We have four of them. Yes - FOUR - you did read that correctly! First up, the bright Flowers: And a close-up: The Lion: And his close-up: The Cat: Close-up on him: (Oh - and don't even get me started on those adorable little magnets!!) A Dog Who Is Not Snoopy: But certainly does resemble him..... If loving these four vintage magnetic boards is wrong, then I will never be right again. I have no problem with that. And then I also found a sweet little floral vase: And another Victorian house (vase) for my collection: And I am very happy that every single one of these items still bears its original label: Vintage Counterpoint: love it, love it, LOVE it!!

I have mentioned vintage Counterpoint items before in my posts, and here is the picture shown previously of my canister set, found at a thrift store: But I just found another pair of canisters a couple of weeks ago (and the recipe box I found at the same thrift shop for 50 cents looks pretty cute with them). This pair has a different blue and green combination: They all look pretty good together up on top of this cupboard with some of my Ransburg pottery: I find myself looking for them online all the time. I found these next two sets a while back on Etsy: I didn't buy them; I only admired them from afar: And here are some more, pictured in this layout from a 1970's Seventeen magazine. See them up on the shelf? Here they are again on the left. In addition, please notice the colorful cardboard boxes like mine stacked on the shelves in the picture below, which were also made by Counterpoint: I keep spotting these cool vintage Counterpoint items, and I just LOVE all of this stuff! I love that they are useful and colorful, and I am SO glad that I have saved some of my favorites since I was a teenager. I never tire of looking at them. And I'll always keep looking for more!

Do you remember when I showed you my great, colorful vintage Counterpoint cardboard boxes? Well, there was something else I had back then that I didn't find until recently. You can see it here in this picture from another bright bedroom out of a Seventeen magazine, circa 1969: See? The cute little three-drawer jewelry box there on the bed? (and, by the way - how cute is that coffee pot and cup set?) Here's the little jewelry box again: (A little off the subject, but simply because I felt like it, - here is a Cannon ad featuring the same pretty blue and green towels featured in the bedroom photo spread - I love the combination of blue and green and the flowers - I've shown you these before, too!) So, anyway - I found my own little three-drawer boxes!! You might think I'm silly, but I just LOVE these things from my "childhood"! I was so tickled when I opened the box and found these again: So, I found not only the orange and yellow one just like the in the magazine, but also a similar blue and yellow one, and even a couple more of the Counterpoint nesting boxes, too! And here you can see the labels: I LOVE colorful vintage Counterpoint items. And I'll probably be writing about them again...... (It was three years ago today that I began this blog - my how time flies! "When you're having fun" - and I have been, and I am - and I hope that you will continue to have fun reading it!)
