多摩美术大学图书馆的最大特征是一楼保持与斜坡角度相同——1/20度。自由空间的拱廊将公交车站与各栋建筑紧密相连，无论是上课还是下课，不知不觉间总会路过图书馆。 建筑物两侧都是曲面，曲型玻璃镶嵌在方正框架内，随处可见的拱形随意重合。二楼阅览室给人以深处森林之中的错觉，榉树茂密的树冠遮挡了夕照日，窗帘遮蔽阳光，带来清凉。
