My Viewing Plans for this Week of Halloween. All of these in my DVD collection. 1. Nightmare Before Christmas Some consider this a Christmas movie but I think it's much more a Halloween story. Moon crossed lovers - Sally and Jack. All of these listed movies provide great decorating inspiration. 2. The Others If you haven't seen this one....you must. This is my favorite kind of scary movie...big on atmosphere....low on gore. Actually, there is no gore. It's all atmosphere and story. Love this movie. 3. Sleepy Hollow Oh....Johhny Depp, Christina Ricci and Christopher Walken is brilliant as usual. This movie will really get you in the Halloween mood. The story is a bit of a jumble but the images are so beautiful....who cares. Johnny Depp at his best. 4. Sweeney Todd Johnny Depp, even better. He's totally mad. So is she. Quite a bit of blood in this one but it seems more like red paint. So it really didn't disturb me and I can watch it over and over. Have been listening to this soundtrack over and over this week too. Oh... I love this sequence so much. She loves him so. and finally....I'm off to find a copy of this today... 5. Trick R Treat I saw it last year and loved it. Must find a copy. It's more blood and guts than I normally like but this movie is pitch perfect when it comes to conveying the sense of Halloween night. The movie's plot involves several intersecting story lines as the characters enjoy their Halloween night in a small town. The town has a parade and a carnival and lots and lots of decorations. The whole feeling of this movie is just right. It makes you feel like Halloween made you feel when you were a kid. But it is pretty scary and lots of blood and guts. But it's worth it because the art direction is so good. Oh...that's a bad Trick r Treater. Oh...forgot this one... 6. Interview with a Vampire Brad Pitt...Vampire....yes! And I'm totally out on "Twilight". I read three of the books and struggled to get through them because they were so boring. I only read them because all my friends were reading them and they knew I loved vampire stuff and insisted I read them. I refused to read the last one. The movies....are just as bad. Do you have favorite Halloween movies? I could use some new suggestions. Have not found a new one to add to my list this year. Tweet
