Hey everyone! I'm starting off the week with another giveaway, because I'm celebrating 6 years of blogging.... all this month! ( updated: winner has been chosen. Thank you for playing along) I have this weeks giveaway posted down at the bottom of this post. All you have to do it leave a comment here, and I'll put your name in the hat :) I'm so exited to get to share with you, a little peek at some of what's coming out on Crafty Secrets newest CD. "Creating with Vintage Typography" I used a number of the papers and elements from the CD,on these drawers I altered this weekend. First of all Thank you to my cousin Paula for bringing me these drawers! You know me well.... REALLY you do! lol You knew I would want to use them for something. lol When Dan saw these two drawers sitting here, he looks at me funny, and says "What are you going to do with two random drawers?". ha.. you would think he wouldn't ask things like that by now. A few years ago, I actually bought an old drawer that had a shelf built in it ,and a wire to hang it by. I still use it to hold Glimmer Mist. I added photo hangers to the backs of these before I started painting and mod podging. I painted and crackled the tops of the drawer, and then used the printable papers and elements from the CD to the inside and outside with Mod Podge. I printed off some of the vintage postcards on the CD to make the cans that are holding my work supplies. So easy! The cans are just soup cans. The postcards could be sized to fit the height of the can, then all I did was use my Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Crafty Power Tape to adhere it to the can. I didn't even use Mod Podge on those. One of the Images on the CD was the "Old Cupboard Drawer". hahah... ok.. perfect for this project. I am loving all these fun papers. Oh.. and see the word "ART"... yes.. it's on the CD also. And again.. the glory of it is , you can make it the size you want it. Had fun making these little flowers out of the map paper. ahhhh... love the butterflies. So ..here's what the tops of the drawers look like after I crackled them. I knew what color I wanted..but I just didn't have it,( which is surprising because I have quiet a variety of colors of acrylic pant :( so I started mixing blues and greens until I was satisfied with it. I left the knobs on, I just punched out some of the "numbers paper" to Mod Podge on. I am busy working on other projects for samples for the new CD... so stay tuned, I'll have lots more to share using this CD. Also check out the Heartwarming Vintage blog to see peeks of what's on the CD. You are going to love it :) UPDATE: Winner has been chosen. Thank you for playing along:) OKAY... here is this weeks giveaway. I'll draw a winner from the comments in this blog post on Friday(27th) I hope you have a great start to your week! Thanks so much for stopping by! Vic
