On the main floor of Villa Foscari, in Venice, the rooms are frescoed with trompe l’oeil architectural elements and mythological scenes. Originally built in 1559 for brothers Niccolò and Alvise Foscari, and designed by Andrea Palladio, the villa was bought and restored by Bertie Landsberg in 1924. In 1973, the architects Antonio and Barbara Foscari Widmann Rezzonico took over the property, which Unesco has recognized as a World Heritage Site
