I think I am added to flea markets by now... I saw a flea market was on 39th street and 9th Avenue, from the bus way out to the city, and I had to check it out what this was. It was "Hell's Kitchen Flea Market" open every Saturday and Sunday. (Hell's Kitchen is Midtown West area) I have to say things here were less organized than ones in Brooklyn Flea, and they could look a little bit garage-sale-ish, but I could find some really good pieces with better values than in Brooklyn. {Carved Wood Letters for Letterpress Printing} I've been wanting to collect these letter pieces, even though I do all my design with computer...(and I am a web designer!) Beside of printing purpose (and there are still classes and studios where they do letterpress), these can be nice wall decorating accessories, or can be used as paper weight, or as stamps! {Metal Letterpress Letters} {A Collection of Old Dices} adf {Burlap Potato Sacks} I liked the graphics on these. I got 2 of them to make pillow covers out of them. I think it will also be cool to upholster dining chairs with these. dfsa {Vintage Trunks} sfs These are from old clock cases. I got one to make a key holder... dfd {Le Petit Prince} I got this paying $1. I researched a little bit once I got home...and this is possibly an edition printed in 40s or 50s. It is in very good condition and illustrations are all intact. dfgdf {Presidential Election Campaign Badges from 1968} BTW, Nixon became a president from this election... dfd {Glasses} ddf {A Collection of Blue Bottoles} df {Chinese Pendants and Vase} sdf {Wood Boxes for Produce} sdf {Vintage Linen Napkins} I liked the one with pale blue scallop edged ones. They were in pretty good condition with almost no stain...but I let them go. daf {Individual Salt Dishes} I first thought these were for candle sticks, but they were salt dishes...anyway I got two of them to use as candle holders. The one with tear drop edge was very cute! dafd {A Perfume Bottle} I added one more to my bottle collection. fdsg {Teacups, Saucers, and Soup Plates} adf I am still not sure what these little plates are for...these can be appetizer plates, or for children playing. (Because the vendor had some tea sets for children playing). In any way, these were very cute. I am regretting now that I didn't get them. If I can ever open my little bakery, I want to buy all these vintage dishes... dfg {Rose Print Teacup Set} sdf {Vintage Flatware} sdf These are for flower arrangement...it has a name, but I can't remember it. I thought I could use this for pen holder. (like the one from Alessi), but the vendor told me this was too shallow for pens... adfd {A Colorful Set of Mixing Bowls} adf {Framed Doll House} dsf Guess what these are! These are Barbie's shoes from 80s, and they are, of course, so trendy platforms! dfd {Carved Wood Stamps from Nepal} sdf Not sure where these came from...but possibly from Nepal or South Asia...I liked both tea tale and coffee table. It's just that I can't just keep buying all these. gdh {Magazines from 1920s} I think 'Punch Bowl' was a local publication in Philadelphia. They contained lots of cool illustrations. I got them to take the pages with illustrations apart and flame them.
