Scots singer-actress Dorothy Paul tries out a Moulton bike outside Jim Houston's Dales Cycle shop in Shamrock Street, Glasgow. Undated photograph, but probably early 1960s I think. Looks to be heavy sleet with slush on the road. It doesn't seem that long ago we used to go (as apprentice compositors) to the Theatre Royal at lunch time, from the Stow College of Printing in Cowcaddens, to see the rehearsals for the One o' Clock Gang STV television show. It was free and you could just wander up to the balcony and see Dorothy, Larry Marshall, Jimmy Nairn, Charlie Sim and Moira Broidy doing their stuff. Changed days indeed. Here's Dorothy along with a host of the greatest Scottish women actors in 'The Steamie.' www.youtube.com/watch?v=NtYkj9gG_FA
