Ficus Rubber Trees are one of the best large houseplants because of their versatility. They grow fast, have large waxy leaves that reflect light, and can fit a variety of spaces and aesthetics. One of my Rubber Trees is bushy, while the other is more of a tree form with a single large trunk. While I love the tree form, the bushy, fuller look better fits the aesthetic of my living room. So to create a fuller rubber tree I’ll be making quite a big cut, and here is how I did it: • First I picked where to cut. No matter where on the plant, it needed to be cut between two nodes. But the real question is how far up the trunk to cut. I decided to cut about half way up, which left about 3 feet of trunk.
