The CELTS were the Iron Age inhabitants of much of the uplands of South Germany up to 100 BCE when the German tribes began to expand. The map shows the Celtic parts of what is now Germany. With the Bohemian forest being their heartland, the Boioi tribe gave their name to both Bavaria and to Bohemia.
