(Editor’s Note: Listen, folks. I just have to be straight with you. I am not a photographer. The Bag Collector, Inc. makes no warranty, express or implied, as to the fitness of these photographs for a specific purpose. Thank you.) So while I was waiting for my Strada to be built, I took the opportunity to visit a few stores in the area. My first stop was Freitag! The guy running the store was named Frank, and he let me in a half hour early and told me to take as many pictures as I wanted. Thanks, Frank! Window display outside the store (at 1 Prince St.). If you see that guy in the reflection, tell him his plaid shorts look stupid (that guy is me). Breakdown of Freitag’s sourced materials. Tarps, inner tubes, and seat belts. A clever use of mirrors makes this store look a lot bigger (twice, actually) than it really is. One of the coolest (and smartest!) uses of retail space I’ve seen - their store has a WALL of drawers. Each drawer has a description and a small picture on it. Open the drawer? there’s a bag inside. BRILLIANT. I want one of these F27 notebooks so damn hard. It’s not even funny. Problem is, I don’t think I want one $148.00+tx hard. It even includes a custom-branded Pentel p205 (best pencil ever)! So that was pretty awesome. Next stop was the Manhattan Portage store, pictures of which I’ll post soon.
