Star-Gazing is a triangular shawl with a curved top edge. It plays with three different colours alternating and features a textured star-stitch pattern. The shawl is fun to make and knits up quickly! You‘ll start knitting with just a few stitches at the right tip, then work your way across to the left edge; you can make the shawl as small or large as you like or your yarn allows. You can use any fingering to aran weight yarn. Choose three contrasting solid/semisolid colours, allow approx. 300m/330yds for the main colour and 200m/220yds for each contrast colour to get the given size; the pattern is easily adjustable to the yardage you have. The pattern contains written as well as charted instructions and a photo-tutorial explains how to work the lovely textured star-stitch. Finished measurements and yarn used for sample: length along top edge: 194cm/76.4” depth: 60cm/23.6” Malabrigo Rios (worsted weight, 100g=192m/210yd) on 5.5mm/US9 needles, 1.5 skeins in Natural and 1 skein each in English Rose & Sunset I hope you’ll enjoy the pattern ☺ Thanks so much for testing and for making such fabulous knits : xstitch, groovyang, vhglass, julka, knitgrl, sophjacksam, knittingnoodler
