This ankle-length petticoat features two panels of tartan fabric (3 panels for sizes x1, x2, x3), joined at the sides with an open upper end on each side for effortless wear. The pleats on this historical petticoat are inspired by the 18th-century style. The front pleats extend from the central box towards the sides, while the back pleats start from the sides and converge in the middle of the back. In the accompanying photos, the petticoat is shown layered over a bum pad, which adds volume to the hips and accentuates the waist's finesse. 🌸 FABRICS: Polyviscose option: 65% Polyester 35% Viscose low pill fabric. Weight 250gsm. Wool Option: The 10oz lightweight tartan fabric is woven from 100% pure new wool and has a nice, soft finish Tartan fabric specification: 325glm (10oz/yd) 🌸 SIZING: Finding the Right Size: Please refer to the size chart in the photo gallery to select the correct size for your skirt. Keep in mind that historical costumes don't follow standard sizing, so getting an accurate fit is important for comfort and effectiveness. Wool Option: Dry clean only. 🌸 HOW TO PUT THE SKIRT ON: To secure the petticoat, follow these steps: · Begin by tying the back panel ties and knot them at the front. · Adjust the front panel by wrapping it around the waist like an apron, making a double turn.
