Painted on the outside and stained on the inside. Detailing is on one side only. This box can be used on a large island on a farmhouse table, in a bathroom with hand towels and soaps. The legs on this box are removable so you can display it with or without them. Need a different color, message us. Our boxes are solid wood, so each piece will distress and stain differently.
