Our beautiful alcove shelves are the perfect home for your book collection or trinkets and picture frames and come with a super simple but strong DIY friendly floating system. (Price per shelf) MEASURING UP (MESSAGE US NOW IF YOU NEED HELP) Please select the nearest dimensions from the drop down menu. We advise to go slightly smaller than your alcove to allow for wiggle room. *Be sure to measure the front and back area of your alcove and take the smaller measurement of the 2 then round down to the closest full cm from our menu. (Most Alcoves walls are not truly square). *Print off* our measuring guide for extra help and please message us and we can clarify any uncertainties you may have. FLOATING SHELF SYSTEM Our floating shelves come with a DIY friendly system for fitting which includes rods that screw into wall plugs. The shelves have routed points at each end of which the shelves lower onto the rods from above. This system is designed for MASONRY and RENDERED walls only, which are very common in Victorian and 1930s alcoves. If the condition of your render and masonry is questionable we also recommend strengthening the rods in place with a bonding agent such as Rawplug R-Kem. Again really simple to apply into your holes. BOX OR TRUNKING? We are able to customise the bespoke shelf so it fits seamlessly around a box or trunking that is occasionally seen in alcoves. Also the added bonus is that you are able to simply lift the shelf off the rods to allow for decorating.
