'Butterfly' is a romantic, lightweight, beaded lace dress. Great to knit as a first lace project, as it is knitted on 5mm (US 8) needles and grows quickly. The lace pattern is simple (8 row repeat, with alternate purl rows) and a graph is provided. The beads are knitted in and placed randomly. PLEASE NOTE - THIS IS A KNITTING PATTERN! The pattern gives instructions for sizes 81 - 102cm (32 - 40 in) bust The sample shown is knitted using Rowan Kidsilk Haze (3 - 4 x 25g balls, depending on size) and uses approximately 500 size 8 glass seed beads. The pattern also contains instructions for a shorter vest version. Tension is 17sts and 24 rows to 10cm/4 in over lace pattern using 5mm (US 8) needles.
