This is a high technical level piece of Ranma. The motifs of 欄間RANMA carvings are very diverse, and the level of carving varies. It is signed in Kanji characters. The sculptures are landscapes depicting waterfront buildings and distant mountains, boats, and pine trees. The sculpture is carved from the reverse side, and is composed in such a way that the viewer can enjoy the landscape from various angles, so that the sculpture can be enjoyed from either side.
