Front sight ( view ) size : 9 1/8 x 11 in. Molding width: 2 1/4 in. Color: True luminous gold with gilded surround over compo and carved wood Condition : Fair/Good as is. Wear to the paint finish from age and handling. Chipping and wear on the surround. I do not see any broken wood. Could be professionally restored ( the gilding). Sturdy and solid still. NO GLASS, No Backing Age : c1960s Here is one of a pair of original vintage carved balsawood and gilded gold picture frames. This used to house a 1960s print so we can place it from that time period. The gilding on the surround is very luminous . This Italian renaissance style frame is very popular and you can see many of the old original ones in museums ( from 1200-1500 ).
