From learning the lessons, how do you jump into having means to even buy youngsters drinks? How can success be attained all the way to your 40s? Here are 10 helpful tips on how to pave the way to financial security! 1. Find your biggest WHY. In the name of creation, determine your biggest WHY to keep you motivated. It may be your kids, the cause you’re fighting for or, your will to make a difference. Building something or realizing that there’s something bigger out there that is worth pursuing would be stretching you out as a person. You would need a daily dose of motivation from it. 2. Take the journey. It’s always hard to make the first step. But decide. Either you keep on telling yourself that you’d start one of these days. Or you want to decide that today will be Day One of what you have been wanting to do. 3. Invest in yourself. Get educated! Not just by degree, but by how you should make good decent money. By this time around, you should have a stable job at least. If you choose to be a freelancer, hustle up. Make sure you are able to save enough on top of having the ability to pay the bills. 4. Put money in long-term investments. What kind of a risk-taker are you? Learn how to apply that to your financial portfolio. Learn about buying properties or becoming a shareholder. If this is too much for you, learn how a 401K works to secure your retirement at least. Then choose a savings plan on the side that partners with insurances that could benefit you through different forms like health insurances, life insurances or educational plans. 5. Create something that you could pass on. Around this time, you may be rearing your own family. You may have kids already. So build something that you could pass on later. Single? No problem. Try to hone your skills and write a book. Become an entrepreneur or get involved in a start-up. Give life to the cause you’ve always wanted to do. In this way, you would find meaning to living and you could live up to your purpose. Be immortal by leaving something behind that people might learn from as part of your social contribution. This will advance you into attaining the highest level of need by Maslow called, self-achievement. 6. Find balance. Learn how you recharge. Feed your soul to stay fresh with your ideas. Consistent rejuvenation takes your level of creation into something expandable. Turn your concept of learning from a classroom setting into a different perspective. Travel, mingle and rest. These are simple educators that could help you immensely in terms of being practical and real. 7. Respect yourself in your pursuit of financial security. You’re not young anymore. Avoid or better yet, give up your so-called friends who did nothing but whine, complain and pretend. A lot of them create the wrong things. Drama, gossip and lies. Try being in the business type league. Try sitting with champions, Try mingling with hustlers. Listen and learn. If you want to be good at what you do, find the experts and listen to those who have been in that position. You can’t expect a positive outcome in your life if you stay with negative-minded companions. You deserve to soar high in life. 8. Act now. There’s no other time in pursuing financial security but now. If you think it’s late for you to save up because you just got hold of financial education recently and the idea of compound interest doesn’t apply that much for you as compared to an 18-year-old, you’re wrong. The important thing is, you have the chance to act on it now. When you waste one more second of whining instead of acting on it, that’s the number of earnings you lose too. If you had been wanting to take up a course which you realized that you needed from the very beginning, just take it. If you really want it, you’d be able to finish it earlier than the allotted time for you. 9. Finish unnecessary baggage. Relationships that suck the best out of you. Loans that imprisons your ideas from taking off. Fears that you have given life for the longest time. Cut them all off and start anew. Know what’s best for you by now. Make new goals and set real priorities this time. 10. Love yourself. If there’s something that you need to commit to 100%, it’s yourself. Commit to projects you want to do. Learn how to use time, being the most important commodity that could serve you. This way, you won’t be desperate to find somebody to complete you. But you will be pursued, respected, and loved because you give you enough respect and you know what you deserve.
