See you at 12:30! “Family Reunion” appliqué club by Lori Holt I am teaching this club at Quilts Etc. in Sandy, Utah 801-255-2666 The class is held on the 4th Tuesday of every month from 12:30-2:30. That is also the day that months kit will be available. You will need to sign up at Quilts Etc. by going in or calling them. We are not into the club very far so there is still time to join! We are into it 3 months as of today’s date (Feb.20, 2009) If you live out of state and would like to join, you can call them to see if they have cut extra kits, they will ship inside the U.S. The club started in November 2008 and will end around December 2009 (give or take a few) There is a sign-up fee of $36.00 which also covers your first and last month. There is an $18.00 monthly fee thereafter until the club is over. (club is over when the quilt is finished!) The monthly fee covers your pattern for that month and also the fabric kit for that month along with floss if needed. The monthly class is for members only and is free of charge! I will be there for those of you who need help with your blocks or those of you who simply enjoy meeting with me and the other members of the club! This quilt is all about FAMILY! I will be adding blocks around the family tree that will represent the fun we have or even past memories of getting together with our families. As I go through the process of designing the quilt, I will also be creating blocks that tell the story of how families are linked throughout the past, present and future generations. This is what we have completed so far in the club. I hope you like it! Here are the #4 block pictures. There are 3 blocks this month with only 2 layouts to prepare . (one block is a stitchery and needs no layout) You can now prepare your layouts ahead of time so that you can really be prepared for class. The layout sizes go as follows; 12" x 17" and 3'' x 20" See you in class!
