From holding Lego swords and lightsabers to cups and crossbows, this chameleon looks like a part-time superhero knight, keeping the streets safe from villains and (quite possibly) dragons.

This little fellow is a Veiled Chameleon, sometimes called a cone-headed chameleon. He is about 6 inches long but looks pretty awesome printed up to the size of a small dinosaur. The distinctive protrusion on his head serves to channel water droplets down into the reptiles’ mouth, a useful feature in their dry habitats. They are solitary tree-dwellers native to Saudi Arabia and Yemen, and eat mainly insects, grabbing their prey with long, sticky tongues. Archival pigment print on smooth matt Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308 gsm heavyweight art paper.
There are about 213 species of chameleons in the planet. They're native in Africa, the Middle East, southern India, Sri Lanka and the Mediterranean region of Europe. They have also been introduced into many places where they have established themselves, such as Hawaii. About half of all species occur on the large African island of Madagascar. This poster print features fine art illustrations of various species of chameleon (Chamaeleonidae) Species featured: CARPET CHAMELEON (Furcifer lateralis) JACKSON’S CHAMELEON Chamaeloeo jacksonii) LABORD’S CHAMELEON (Furcifer labordi) MELLER’S CHAMELEON (Trioceros melleri) MOUNTAIN CHAMELEON (Chamaeloeo trioceros) PANTHER CHAMELEON (Furcifer pardalis) PARSON’S CHAMELEON (Calumma parsonii) VEILED CHAMELEON (Chamaeleo calyptratus) The unframed artwork is printed on sturdy, water color block style paper. Print is signed on the back, but can be signed on the front by the artist on request.
