Corinthian Colums at Windsor ruins with intricately detailed capitals of iron. See the pictures of my children standing in front of them to get a sence of their enormous size and height. Windsor was built in 1860 and was the biggest plantation home ever built in Mississippi. Sadly this architectural masterpiece of the "Old South" burned down in 1890. What you see in these pictures is all that is left. In this set, there are some artist renderings of what the home looked like in it's original splendor. These were drawn from the only drawing of windsor by someone from the Union army during their occupation of Windsor during the Civil War.
