The Neue Schule Demi-Anky Loose Ring is a single jointed loose ring snaffle which has been designed to eradicate the issues that are associated with traditional jointed snaffles. This bit is a good choice for horses that struggle to maintain a contact. It's also ideal for horses that do not favour a lozenge bit design, or ones who show evasions with traditional jointed snaffles.Traditional single jointed snaffles often give a nutcracker acttion or apply pressure to the sensitive areas of the palate. The cleverly designed curved mouthpiece of the Demi-Anky eliminates any interference with the upper palate and prevents the bit from lying too far forward in the horse's mouth to avoid any pinching to the sensitive outer edges of the tongue. The ergonomically designed mouthpiece sweeps away from the corner of the lips reducing the risk of rubbing and the mouthpiece is subtly curved down towards the bars of the mouth, offering a superb weight bearing surface. Once the horse establishes a correct contact, the bit shape forms a long low shape over the tongue providing relief to the sensitive outer edges. The loose rings can be beneficial for horses that have a tendency to lean as the ring will freely rotate teaching the horse to lift into self carriage.Available with a 14mm mouthpiece (5.5") - 55mm or 70mm rings; 16mm mouthpiece (5 - 6") - 70mm rings; or 18mm mouthpiece (5.5") - 70mm rings.NS Reference 8011/8012/8013
