About 1765 This is one of the most flamboyant of Frederick's boxes. It is richly decorated with swirling Rococo ornament, and set with coloured gemstones and a profusion of diamonds, some tinted pink, green and yellow by foils. The forget-me-not flowers are carved from turquoise, with only the yellow centres made of glass.
