La Cite Radieuse, designed by Le Corbusier, is a state of the art residential building built in Marseille, in the early 1950's. It was intended to have everything one needed inside - like a village - and the hallways were even sometimes described as "streets". It was equipped with a post office, general store, kindergarten, wading pool (on the roof), as well as a cafe/restaurant. Even today the appearance is quite modern. This hallway has been given additional colors through a temporary show, in which Lucile Bertrand installed colored filters in the windows. On the right, you see the facade of the bookstore - which has a nice selection of books on architecture.
