It's spring and with the annual spring cleaning came the realization that we need to freshen up a few things around here. Hera Paisley drapery with a tan edge border detail. Tiebacks are old monogrammed horse brasses on leather. It's been nearly 11 years since we moved into the PH and some of the fabrics that I used to cover or recover furnishings have seen a better day. We spend most of our time in the cedar-paneled family room and this is where the daily wear and tear has taken its toll on things. It's also the hardest room in the house to photograph because of the paneling Between the fading and the constant movement of people, dogs, and cats it IS time to change things out. This plaid has got to go! So here are the new fabrics that will be moving in. A plaid --- yes, a plaid -- surprise, surprise! will replace the old wool flannel plaid on the two club chairs. This new one is a heavy woven that will not pill like the old one did. (At least that's the plan.) A velvet animal print --- a red and creamy tan panther pattern that's super soft and cuddly -- will be perfect on some pillows. Brunschwig & Fils Panthere A heavy industrial grade woven that will recover the two six foot long cushions in the bay window where the dogs lay and watch the world go by. Pampered pup in the bay window. I needed something that would not show the dirt, and will not catch or snag on big paws and little claws. Not exciting, but it should get the job done. These new fabrics will coordinate with the RL Hera Paisley in the room and the tan textural woven that is on the sofa. Here they are all together. May need to find one more fabric to recover the tufted ottoman. It's about ready to go too. Uh- oh...... HERE it COMES: THE DOMINO EFFECT! Can you relate? :D Will keep you posted as it all comes back together. xoxox ~ Alison
