Its time! The MFT Stamps August Release is now available in the online store! All the fantastic stamps, dies, stencils, and new paper packs are all available for purchase. I will wait here while you shop, but come right back for a video tutorial and some inspiration for when your goodies arrive! Tonight I am showing off Bionic Bots and Die-namics Bionic Bots from Miss Tiina. I have been begging for cute robots for quite some time now! Having a little boy, I am always in need of more masculine images and these will be perfect for cards galore! Not to mention the plans I have for scrapbook layouts! These robot images are just begging to be colored! I had fun coloring with my Copic Markers and I thought I would share a video tutorial with you about coloring realistic looking metal. I added shine and a roundness to my robot just with an easy trick. Watch the video below and see how it is done. Direct Link: Coloring Realistic Metal with Copic Markers The sentiments in Bionic Bots are cute too, in wording and font style! The foundation for this adorable robot is a piece of Sweet Tooth card stock cut with Die-namics Double Stitched Rectangle STAX. I stamped the rectangle with Grid Background in Sno Cone ink. The image was perfect! And because of the birthday sentiment, the robot needed to have a red balloon. (This balloon is for my nephew M who will do anything for a "baw-oon." Including getting his hair cut.) It is cut from Wild Cherry card stock using Die-namics Birthday Balloons. I stamped it with Wild Cherry ink and Tiny Star Background. I chose stars because I embossed the lower panel with Stencil Star Celebration. And to show that these robots don't have to be all for the boys, I colored this small robot image in cute and bright colors. For both of my colored images I die cut X-Press Blending Card with Die-namics Bionic Bots. They are both stamped with Hybrid Black Licorice ink, my hands down favorite black ink, especially for Copic Markers. Lots of cute layers here with stamped and die cut images. All leading back to that robot. And check out that cute heart image underneath the sentiment! So much adorableness in Bionic Bots! The best part about this set is, you don't have to color the robots all realistic! Choose some of your favorite colors and have fun!
